This is what is bothersome to me. I don't have any pending charges on my card. How will they know that I have the proper funds (I do, for the record). Wondering if I actually won't get it on the 24th because of this…

Agreed, if anything a fingerprint should be required to turn the phone off and right after a reboot.

EDIT: Well I guess it's encrypted every time you turn it off but my statement on requiring a fingerprint to turn it off still stands.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've yet to see a picture of an order confirmation showing just the 24th date. I had mine ordered and confirmation email at 3:01EST with 24th-8th. Anybody with a 'just' 24th confirmation is a mystery. I think if you ordered in the first minute, you should at least have an April 24th delivery date.

I've not seen anything like that either. Which is not to say that they don't exist in a very small sample size, but I am still extremely doubtful, to say the least.

Your fingerprint is encrypted with the other data on your phone. When your phone is powered off, or restarted, your passcode is used to decrypt the data. This also provides an easy way for American's to keep data private, as a court can force you to unlock something with your finger, it can not force you to provide a password.

This is amazing. I totally didn't know that.

guys, the dust has settled, if you order within the first few minutes and you got a 4/24-5/8 date, and it STILL SAYS THAT date, it means you are in the first wave of shipments and you have just about been paired with a watch.....congrats...we WILL see our watch on 4/24

Then why the need for the range, still?

Any of you college professors here is a great idea for Math's final.

"A group of 8 MacRumors friends bought the Apple Watch on launch day and paid a total of $3780.09. If there are a total of 36 watch combinations. Calculate how many ordered the $399 watch and how many ordered the $499 watch?

Bonus points.
Using distributive property and a lunar calendar, calculate when will they get their watches if they all ordered within the fist 5 minutes of launch."

Bonus, Bonus points. For an extra 50 pts. Calculate the mass of the sun.:D

Haha
