Hey everyone, I'm gonna post some details about my order. When our orders do ship, at least we can gauge which models are shipping out.

I preordered the :apple:Watch Sport, 38mm Silver Aluminum with a delivery date of 4/24-5/8

I am of the belief that Apple has the stock, but is prolonging the shipping process because they will not be able to handle the millions of people flocking to Apple Stores for an appointment on how to use the device. I think most people with the 4/24 date will get their order on 4/24 and the ones with a later date will get theirs sooner but in waves.

Apple is a global power, and will surprise us each and every time they launch a product. Our orders will ship this week, this is something I hold onto, so let's enjoy the ride while we are here.

Here's looking to you :apple:

I really don't think so. Not every I watch owners will go to the class. The Mission Viejo store has all appointments available. I have a hard time believing they modify the rollout because of class availability.

I think the chances of that being the reason for the 2 week shipping window is 0%

If you are correct, and I hope you are, we won't see status changes until the middle of the week.

That's what I've expected all along.

Doesn't the Apple Store app offer push notifications when the order status changes? Why keep checking back when it will notify you automatically?

Yup, indeed it does, but a lot of people seem to be ignorant to that fact. Or just like the routine of going and refreshing the order page.

Ok guys, it's Sunday and still NONE of us have had a shipping update or order status change at all! Apple is really pushing everybody's patience. I think the moment the Watches arrive on our doorsteps will be extremely climactic because of how long Apple is waiting to update us. I simply cannot believe that the first batch of Apple Watches hasn't shipped from China yet. Can you guys?

Happy order status refreshing!

As said by many others, it's highly likely that they're going to warehouses in each country and then shipping to people from there, which means no status change until during the week, between Tuesday and Thursday. Until then, chill and just enjoy the anticipation.

I read a lot in this thread that the watches are already state site. I am not so sure about that. If they are that would mean they where shipped as a bulk prior, otherwise we would have tracking numbers by now. If it was bulk, then someone has to take that bulk apart, sort it, out print labels and packing slips and process it all. Given the differene in Chinese and U.S. Labor costs that's unlikely to happen here. Also if bulk stored here, how do they know how much of what they need. Apple always shipped straight from the factory. It's their global supply logistic strategy. I have a hard time believing that diffrent this time around. There are also tax and import duty reasons not to do bulk.
Just thinking out loud.

As stated, Apple have previously shipped stock to warehouses in each country, then shipped to customers from there, so people didn't get get any notifications until it shipped from the warehouse in each country. They have history of doing this and it's more recent than shipping direct from China.

Mine came from China. Actually in the last years all new Apple products I ordered came straight from the factory.

I got my iPhone 6 Plus on launch day, shipping details showed it started the tracking in the US about 3 hours from my home. Did you get yours on launch day?

Hello everyone!

Brand new to the forum and just wanted to let everyone know what my preorder is:

SS Apple Watch w/ white sport band (4/24-5/8)

I also ordered an extra charger. Can never have too many of those!

Super excited and can't wait! It's been a few years since I've done a preorder, but I stood in line at my local apple store last year for the iPhone 6 Plus! Had a great experience.

Good luck everyone! :)

I ordered my iPhone 6+ launch day yes. But Apple's online order system was such a mess, I only got my order in 4 AM. I had to wait close to 3 weeks for it to arrive.

Been lurking on this thread for a little while now, and glad to see more enthused :apple: fans!

In my case, I ordered my :apple:WATCH Sport 38mm with blue sport band at 3:01a Eastern via :apple:Pay on the app. Still showing a 4/24-5/8 delivery, but I'm fairly confident the 5/8 is just a cushion for "oh god we screwed up big time"

Most of us with 4/24-5/8 windows who ordered in the first 5 minutes will probably see our watches this Friday.

That is most likely why yours came from China. I got mine on launch day and this forum was alive with anticipation. Virtually all posts (at least the ones I read and I read the bulk of them) had shipments coming from the US.

I hope that is what is happening this time, if not, we may not be seeing watches on the 24th

That sure would explain things. But with all the articles of manufacturing bottlenecks and small inventory, testing the market first, etc. why would they store it here in the U.S.before launch? Well they got some new executives in charge, maybe they do it diffrent. lord knows the iPhone 6 launch was a disaster!

It certainly was a new way of doing it for iPhone 6 Plus. For all the previous launches (I have ordered every iPhone, except the first one, to be delivered on launch day) mine were always shipped from China.
