Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

Looks like I have 14 orders in front of me (for Sterling Heights, MI).

14 of the 19 Friday orders have shipped (13 of those shipped yesterday with only 1 showing shipped today)

None of the Saturday orders ahead of me have shipped yet, however. :-(

my rep did not even give me the option - i was charged $0 for shipping, tho on my receipt it says "economy freight"; i guess i will see how it actually ships when the time comes.
 
Scanning my store orders looks like only 1 order was filled. Anyone else see so few orders go out?
 
Update

So, my phone was at 0 on FRT and PHONE today for the last 14 hours. I ordered mine Friday at 8:15am CST. The phone went back to backordered at Noon today, but just got a call from ATT Store and it's in. So, seems to be the online status means nothing :). There's hope for some of you.

I just called both stores in my area. They are still out. It doesn't seem that they ever received a shipment after Friday.

All the phones are going out FedEx overnight. ALL OF THEM.
AT&T should have done a better job telling their reps that. I was offered the priority ship but declined because I thought they'd all ship the same way. Anyone who paid extra should be due a refund.

And the order in which orders have been filled makes absolutely no sense. Looking at my store, the first 8 orders still haven't shipped. I'm sure these folks waited in line before the store even opened on Friday. They only have 20 phones in stock with a huge line. Meanwhile, they've already shipped two phones that were ordered on Saturday! Which is sorta fine with me because I ordered on Saturday too.
 
UGGGGGHHHHHH!

I was literally the 5th DF order on 7/11 and am still backordered

meanwhile 100 orders behind me in line multiple phones have shipped and are now at the store, WTF??!!!
 
Ordered a 16GB Black around 10am PST (Portland, Oregon, Mall205 AT&T store)

I was one of the first DF orders , there are 3 people in front of me and hundreds behind me (using the order # check method). Mine has been going from 1 back ordered to 0 and is currently on 1.

called my store and they have gotten 0 iphones since the Friday release, even though I'm aware other stores in the Portland area have gotten shipments.

At&t also charged me 300$ for the phone and is holding another 300$ until i receive the phone, don't know if this is normal. AT&T rep also said people should expect to wait 7-10 days. :(
 
I ordered a Black 16GB iPhone on Saturday around 10am EST...and I want it..but you just gotta remember, AT&T wants us to get these phones as soon as possible, especially new customers like me...until then they don't start to make their money.
 
Ordered Friday... Shipped Today...

I like everyone else, have been checking my order consistently since I placed my order (16GB black) at about ~15:30 PST (Don't quote me, I don't have my order in front of me) at the ATT store in La Jolla, CA.

I have not had my backorder status jump around at all UNTIL this morning when my phone went 0 for backorder and FRT was still 1. I was curious if that meant something and after lunch I checked. I just received the FEDEX tracking number and it is due to be delivered by 1500 PST tomorrow.

I paid for the regular freight ($0) and it shipped overnight.

Also, the order was updated by ATT about two hours after it was picked up by FedEx AND I still have not received an email from ATT about the shipping.

I understand the anxiety by some and I think that many of the orders lower down on the order list are not the same model. I think location may play a factor as well. Certain parts of the country are allotted a certain amount of phones, if there is more demand in those parts, people wait to have their orders filled. I don't think that they have a centralized order number system, but who knows.

Just got off the phone with the store. They expect all phones ordered on Saturday to arrive tomorrow around noon. I'm waiting on an 8 gig. According to the program some posted today I'm order number 54 pending from that store's zip code. If the phone arrives tomorrow I'll call that a very good turnaround time. And I have to say the people I dealt with at the retail store were very professional. Still disappointed that ATT order tracking process and their CSRs were unwilling and/or unable to provide straight answers.
 
Question for people who have received emails:

Did they ask for your email address at the store when they took the DF?



because the guy that took my order never asked for mine, called 611 today and they say they sent me 3 emails to a yahoo account........but i DON'T HAVE a yahoo account! I have a gmail acct!
 
Talked to my AT&T store. Nothing new, but they also said all incoming iPhones are reserved for direct fulfillment orders.

Unfortunately for me, they haven't gotten any 16gb black yet. I'm #2, so as soon as they get two in stock, I'll be called, I guess.

is there a way to determine how many people are ahead of you for direct fulfillment at a particular store? i see people talking about the number of orders at a store.

i ordered at 11:30 am on 7/11/08 and have heard about several people receiving phones before me. the order wasn't even processed until saturday.

I was asked - but today I was told users only get one E-mail - and that is the one that says your iPhone is ready to be picked up
 
Got mine

I waited in line and ordered mine Friday. I received it yesterday and didn't pay extra shipping. The rep told me I was lucky because only about 30 orders came in.
 
Just used that scraper for the first time... I'm number 62 in line. Yeesh. If that Saturday order means Thursday delivery thing comes true for me, I'll be very very lucky.

Still, it's better than the 94ish I was at earlier this week (when I was scraping with my eyeballs)
 
I have been watching this thread for a few days now and it is quite informative! Even though some people say different things I get most of the info. I on the other hand have not got any emails, calls, nor anything of that nature regarding my order I made on friday morning at 9:55am. I went to the att store today where I purchased it and they didn't have it! So frustrating! On the other hand the dip sh** that took my order decided to do all his order in his name instead of the customers name. So they would have to sort through and see which one is mine before they give it to me. I have been waiting a little bit to long for this and its getting quite ridiculous. If I go in tomorrow and its not there and a person from a saturday order is getting there's my temper is going out the door and things might fly! By the way I ordered a black 8gb and I am in baltimore, MD.
 
My black 16gig that I ordered on Friday around 3:30 pm finally shipped this morning and should be here tomorrow by 3 pm. They had originally told me 7-10 days, so it's actually a little ahead of schedule.
 
Patience is the key, I know you've all heard it before.

I placed mine on late Saturday because I didn't want to deal with crowds, etc...

I'm currently #89 (the last order on Saturday) in the DF list within my ZIP area. It appears they are on order #73 marked as shipped (the last order placed on Friday) and it's going down in perfect order; #74 being first order placed Saturday so far.

So to those whom ordered on Fri/Sat/Sun appears to be the lucky "bunch" (again in my area) so far 43 out of 104 shipped. :cool:
