Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

soooo i ordered an 8gb on 7/15 and i don't have it yet...but just checked and frt=o and phone=0 under back ordered sooooo i hope when i wake up it will say shipped. I also called the number to check order status and for once it said processing when before it says order is back ordered.

one can only hope it will be here!

I've been following this thread for WAY too long. Thought I would post for those still waiting.

Ordered 8g on 7/16 at 11am
Due to arrive before 3pm 7/25

Just like everyone has said, the status will do "The 0/1 Shuffle", usually staying at 0 for the afternoon, but returning to backordered during the evening. Last night it stayed at 0 until I went to bed, so I guess I made the cut. The temporary hold on my CC expired yesterday morning, and they never put a new one on. They still haven't charged my card, but I imagine it will be soon. So, the very first notice I got, was when I checked my status this morning, both FRT and Phone were at 0, and there was a tracking number.

Thanks for the frequent posts guys. And thanks A LOT for all of the order checking tools. My first apple product is on its way. :D

Just a warning, but if you're checking that often, you'll either get yourself banned or ruin it for everybody by forcing them to change the page again. I only say this because you're probably not the only one that does it.

It would also keep you much more sane if you only checked nightly like most of us. Or is it just me? I really, really want it, and as much as I say I can't wait, the truth is I can. I waited out the first iPhone completely. This one isn't much different.
 
I cannot wait until I get my iPhone 3G in my hands today @ 3:00p.m.. This will be my first iPhone because i didn't get the 1st Gen. :apple: :D :) :p
 
I went to the AT&T store to upgrade today and the guy told me that if I do it today, it would be twice the price :confused: If I wait until July 27, I can get it the same price ($300). He said the white is available in 4 days and the black is available in 10 days :mad:

I guess I'll wait some more
 
finally

ordered 8gb 7/15 and it will be delivered by 3pm! as much as this week and a half were torture, it fell into the 7-10 business days they told me. i'm sure it'll be worth the wait, hang in there!
 
I ordered from an AT&T store on 7/15/08 in NYC and mine has not shipped. My order status remains "on backorder".

BTW, a black 16GB.
 
Here's an update for you guys at my store!

Almost everyone before 7/17 has gotten their phones (besides two..and yes some of the others did order black) so hopefully I should get my phone within 3-4 days.. I'm excited :D
 
Ordered a 16GB black on 7/16 and it looks like they got a big shipment out yesterday because my queue number jumped up drastically this morning. Another thing I realized which may explain why certain people are getting their's ahead of others is if you have multiple att stores in your area with the same zip code. I'm in manhattan and there's at least 2 att's with the same zip code and it looks like the two stores get shipments on alternating days, just a theory cause I know people have been complaining about guys getting theirs shipped who ordered after them

I had order a 8 gig on the 17th was 54th moved up only 4 spots as of the 23rd. apple store got them yesterday went in took 20 mins walked out with a 16 black .went over to att and canceled my df took 2 mins the lady who helped me told me it is taking for ever to ship the 16 blacks she wanted one for her hubby she apple was getting over 75% of the shipments . she was even going to go to the apple store to get one. good luck to those waiting hopefully shipping picks up
 
Looks like i moved up from # 18 to # 17 in my queue looks like someone cancelled their order, this AT&T store seems to only ship 2 or 3 iphones a day, i hope more iphones come in soon.
 
Can someone please give me the link where I can check my status? Also, which number do I enter from my AT&T receipt? Thanks.

Ask to speak to the manager. I was able to upgrade and I am 1 month away from the end of my contract, and you're 2-3 days away and he won't let you upgrade?

Yes. Apparently that's what I was told. I have to wait until july 27. He said I can upgrade now but still I won't have the phone for the next 10 days anyway so need to wait until 7/27 when I'm eligible.

So, can I just go to an apple store and upgrade now with the same plan that I have with AT&T and add $30 data plan? anyone know if this is possible?
 
Mine finally shipped this morning. I ordered an 8 GB on July 16th. I hope it'll be here by this weekend.
 
Mine was just delivered, mine was just delivered

I've been following this thread since is was just 20 pages old. My, how they grow up so fast. I just got my "delivered" notice from FedEx, so now I wait on the clerks to wrap this mess up. I had to wait even longer than I should have since the AT&T idoits kept telling me that the DF's were only done on the 11th and that since the warehouse was out, I'd have to keep checking back and hoped I timed it right to get one. Checked 2 stores for 4 days before someone was nice enough to say that what stock they were getting in were going to DF's and that I should do that or it might be an even longer wait. Ordered Blk 8GB on the 15th (evening) and been tortured ever since. Just wait, it's almost worse once you know it's on a truck just driving around town. Watching the queue's, it seems that my store in the ICT was getting about 10 phones a day. Mine actually shipped around 1pm but my status didn't update until around 7pm. Seeing others suffer along with me has been very therapeutic. A good support group you've been. Thanks. Maybe now I can get some work done.
 
Does anyone know if an iPhone were to ship today would we get it Monday or Saturday? Mine is at #2 right now.
 
In Industry, CA, they were getting shipments everyday since Tues 7/22. They were receiving about 60 phones per shipment. The trend they saw were 50%white, 25%16gbBlk, 25%8gbBlk. They even had extra white ones for walk-ins. Needless to say, if you want a white, chances are good that you can get one within a couple days.
