Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

Nice to see that some people are getting the phones they ordered on the 16th, which is the day I ordered too. Based on my cue, there are 17 of us who didn't get phones yet who ordered on the 15th and 16th and I'm guessing we're all 16GB-black iPhone people. Here's hoping for a big shipment!!
 
Just got back from the ATT store. Place was busy but no long lines or anything.

Guy at the counter said 16GB black will take 14-21 days or I can have a white one in 72 hours. So I said white please.! :) I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any display models to compare the color, touch, try-out, etc. But whatever!

Hopefully the guy was not full of bs and I'll get my phone on Monday. Can't wait :D
 
Off back-order

Well, my phone is no longer back-ordered which I take to be a good sign. The last time this happened (yesterday), about 8 orders in front of me were filled. I'm hoping this trend continues...
 
i was told the 10-21 days when i ordered my 8gb, got it today in 9. real days not business days... yay!
 
a bunch ordered from my store on 7/16 got shipped out today according the tracker. ordered mine on 7/18, so if the pattern keeps up, i should have mine by mon-tues next week.

im debating going to the apple store early 2moro and trying to grab one then cancel my DF
 
I ordered my black 16G on the 15th and am still waiting. I just checked online with att and it changed from 1 phone back-ordered to 0 but the freight is still 1 and it has not not said it has shipped yet.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm #2 right now tho. Hopefully they can squeeze two out today so I can get one.
 
I ordered a White phone yesterday 07/24/08 (Thursday) and I have gotten tracking info from Fedex for delivery to AT&T Monday 07/28/08. I was told by AT&T that the White iPhones come in more quickly so I ordered that one.
 
ATT Store

I ordered at the ATT store on Wednesday 7/16 towards closing time 6 pm est.

I got tracking numbers about 15 minnutes ago. When I ordered I was told 7-10 days. Looks like Apple was spot on with their time frames! :apple:
 
Hey Guys

Long time reader, first time poster....

I ordered a Black 16gb 3G on Sat the 19th. Since then i've had the deposit hold come and go from my bank account. Also my 3g does the whole 0/1 Backorder dance everyday. This is a great forum to help burn time while I wait for my new phone (btw: it's my first iPhone, I am leaving Sprint).

Thanks for all the news and updates. Also I ordered mine at the Gardens Mall At&t store in WPB, FL if that helps anyone!
 
i ordered it on the 16th and it shipped today, ahead of about 10 people who ordered it in 14th or 15th
YAY!!!
i guess 8gb is going a bit faster than 16gb blacks....
im hoping it comes tomoro....
do they make shipments on saturdays?
anybody know??
 
16 GB black ordered 7/16 at 1330 EST, Now numero uno on the list... Keeping figures crossed as I just went to 0 on backorder....
 
Looks like im off the back order list for now, i'm # 15 in line AT&T must have got more shipments of the 16GB's in black I hope they get mine shipped soon.
 
Canceled my 8gb DF on Wednesday (23rd) and ordered a 16gb White. Received shipment notification @ 12:57 in DFW and I'll be able to pick it up on Monday (28th.)
 
Wow. I have been #1 in the queue for my zipcode / store since Tuesday. Everyday during the day the backorder status changes to 0. Then sometime during the evening it changes back to 1 (just did again). Seems like my area isn't getting many black 16gb allocated. But it's cool. I'm patient - plus entertained by all these posts!!! :) But at least I'm still 1 in the queue.

You're technically eligible about a month before your contract is up. If you're three days before that they might not let you get it. Normally people upgrade at the two year point. So maybe that's why they wouldn't fudge it for you. However, if you speak to a manager they might do it.

There are also other things to qualify you. You can get upgrade pricing if you paid a high enough cell phone bill for your contract for example.

On another note, I moved 27 places since last night! Unfortunately I'm still at #55. There are to stores in that zip though, but if it goes by date it won't matter. Most of the 7/15s are shipped at my zip and many of the 7/16s are out too. At least I'm first on 7/18. And apparently there was finally a hold on my account that I only noticed because it was released today. It wasn't posted in my online statement or anything, which was a bit annoying. I only figured it out because there was more money available on my credit card. They must have had it authorized almost since I ordered it. That or some of the disputes that I have when my old number was stolen from a database finally cleared.
 
My store has only shipped 4 phones today. One came before me and the rest came after. When I started out this morning I was #3 in line for my Black 16gb that I ordered on the 15th. I thought for sure that mine would ship at some point today and now at nearly 9PM I sit here on back order in the #2 spot. I really was hoping to get this thing by tomorrow at the latest but it looks like I'll be waiting with the rest of you guys. Sad panda.

I'm sorry for you guys whose stores ship so slowly. My store shipped another 4 in the last hour.

But I'm happy for me as I'm finally almost under 50! It probably does go by date though as not all of ours from the 15th have shipped. There are still 22 from 7/15-7/16.
 
My store shipped out 4 iphones today i'm # 14 in line now compared to # 20 i think some people got tired of waiting as theres a few cancelations, i hope they get more shipped out this weekend, seems they must be going by date but there are people below me who has their iphone shipped already my only guess is it must be the 16 GB in white instead of black as most of us are waiting for.
 
My frt just changed to 0 but the phone still says backorder. Do you guys have any idea what this means? I've never had it do this before.
 
Holy hell! It just changed to both 0's on the back order status!! Woot?!? Please ship! lol

I guess when your freight isn't back ordered that means it's a good sign.
