Did you order to have one shipped @ ATT store?

DO they have to open it up at the store when you pick it up? I kinda like taking brand new electronics home to open up lol. I dont want some at&t guy touching my phone before iDo. :apple:
 
Waiting...and coping (not very well)

16 GB Black, ordered Wed., July 23 at 7pm. Trying not to think about it, trying not to obsess (but I'm here aren't I?). I'm not going to the Apple store at six in the morning, I'm just going to wait for my order (like an adult - like an idiot). It's killing me. Now the order queue is showing...

Yes but my rep did a good job of handling it, he left that plastic wrapig on the screen on and did not massacre the box whe he opened it. Although he kept playing with his own iphone when ever I tried speaking to him.

It has to be opened. No reason you can't, though. When I got mine, while the AT&T rep was looking up my account, I just asked if I could open it (I was bored). So I did. Just do the same, and you can make sure you touch it first.

Same here... I've got my fingers crossed that this is good news, but it's really odd for it to be at 0 for this long...

I've tried calling the AT&T stores I ordered it from, but they are not accepting calls...It either hangs up on you or sends you to a voicemail box...(which they do not even bother listening too because I called about a week ago saying that I never received a confirmation email...to please let me know what email they have because apparently it's wrong...and no response):mad:
 
hmm, im starting to have issues with mine...

It can't find my email, and half my apps have not installed, and the time on it just changed from the current time to 10:00am and I can't access my settings on it.

update.. I think I fixed it.

AT&T has implemented image verification on their site. These checkers won't work anymore.
 
LOL my AT&T store guy opened it very professionally but also some people wouldn't like how he did it. He used a box cutter on the plastic on the bottom of the box, going into the creases, as to remove the plastic from the bottom and open the box without the plastic being gone from anywhere else, and leaving no marks on the box. Then, he took all the plastic and stuff off the phone and plugged it into his computer. I liked how he did it, but I could see people for sure flinching hardcore at the box cutter and plastic removing.

Also, I don't know if this was him, but on the SIM card tray, there appears to be a small chip behind the hole you'd put a paper clip into :/ It's really not a big thing or anything, so I probably won't take it in, it's just sad haha.
 
Mine finally shipped (16gb Black ordered 7/18)... out of curiosity, for those that shipped, where did it ship from?

Mine is being sent from Fort Worth, TX.

ditto. 7/18, 16gb black. (ordered in SoCal) i'm at work and i checked every 30 mins (i was #1). just saw it shipped. 3:00 tomorrow! i feel like a little kid. even if it isn't the best thing since 1928 (see: sliced bead) i hope i enjoy it.

Yes!!!

Picked up my 16G White phone at noon today :D:D Placed the order on Friday the 25th. Not quite the 72 hours they promised but not that bad either.

So far the phone is perfect. No dust under the screen or dead pixels. No cracks in the case and all the buttons are as they should be :)
 
I got a tracking # this afternoon and it shipped out from Ft. Worth, supposed to be here in Columbia by 3 pm.

No email as of yet.

Now should I wait for the call/email or go over to the ATT&T store and just bug them out of their mind? :D I get off work at 2:30 pm. :D

If I don't hear anything, I will wait till Friday afternoon.

I ordered my 8GB black iPhone on the 20th of July.
 
I ordered a white 16GB on Saturday (7/26). I think I was in the store for about 10 minutes. It came in today (7/30) and I'll be picking it up on my way home from work. Hopefully, I should be in and out of the store in no more than 20 minutes. Not bad, if you ask me, and far better than waiting in line for five hours.
 
Yeah. I am officially # 1 in the que. My backorder shows 0 while others are showing 1... could that mean that they intend to ship mine out today.. There are only 3 of us showing backorder = 0 while everyone else is backorder =1.
Earlier in the day we were all backorder =0, then they shipped the person in que before me making me #1, and the backorders changed. Man I hope it goes out today. Sorry for seeming so whiny :rolleyes:
