Alright, well I ordered mine at like 9:30 on friday and have gone through the same things as you with it being back-ordered then not, then back to back-ordered. So I'm hoping in 35 minutes when it technically turns to Monday here, that it will change to shipped. Did yours change at 11:08 (or around) when you posted that it shipped?
12:30 in Philly? Eastern? That would be 10:30 my time I believe which was the same time I ordered mine.
Where I am from it's 12:30AM. When it turned 12:00AM it changed for me. Same should go for you guys when that time comes around.

That's what I'm hoping for
mine was ordered around 430 on friday. It went back and forth with the whole backordering thing now it has shipped through fedex. its a white 16gb. I think the model you ordered makes a difference too. My sister got an 8gb and hers has not shipped and we ordered at the same time. I'm in central PA. we were told that we couldnt get priority shipping.

Damn, I got an 8gb, I hope mine still ships!! I just couldn't dig deep enough inside of me to spend the extra 100 dollars to get the 16gb, especially since I wasn't upgrade eligible
Only time can tell. At least I know I have one with my name on it, coming for me sometime.
This is depressing... It must only be the 16gb white ones shipping out... I ordered at 10:30 Friday and still nothing shipped... I want my phone! Hopefully they are just processing all the 16gb whites first, and by tomorrow when I wake up it will tell me that my 8gb has shipped!
So, when it says shipped, should i expect to see it tomorrow? or Tuesday? I hope everyones goes through tomorrow morning if not tonight I'll cross my fingers

Getting the run around
I ordered my black 16gb in san diego at about 9:30am....While my status currently shows back ordered on phone and frt.
1st ATT rep told me 1-3 days for the order ( this was when i was still in line)
2nd ATT rep told me 5-7 days ( this was after i already odered it ) When i was actually in the store with the rep he did not mention anything about priority shipping (but my receipt says priority freight $0.00) i dont know if they waived my fee or what?
3rd ATT rep from the ATT store i purchased at, i called later friday afternoon said 7-10 days and it was not possible to cancel my order once it has been shipped
4th ATT rep (866 number) said that my phone would be in the store on monday 14th or tuesday 15th and she called the ATT store personally and that was somewhat confirmed.
5th ATT rep that i spoke to today said that there is a warehouse somewhere in san diego and that it is possible that my phone may be there by thursday...
Now while ATT seems to make up whatever they want on the spot, i called the order status hotline and that also said my order was on back order and then said that items on back order will not be shipped til they are in stock (obviously)
This Direct Fulfillment is a huge mess and it is utterly ridiculous that I waited in line since the wee hours of the morning and chose to order my iphone and have already paid*, and now any regular person walking past an ATT store with phones in stock can stroll in and pick one up no prob....
*I say i have already paid even though the recepit and all the order status sites and hotline say you dont get charged until its shipped.......That is BS because they have you swipe your card and they do an inquiry on your account and that money is physicaly not there, its on hold and ATT cannot release that hold. so if i wanted to go to an apple store and buy it i cant.
waiting 3-4 weeks is unheard of and i hope everyone here including myself receives a phone within this coming week hopefully by tuesday like a lot of us were promised.... THANKS ATT!

I called my AT&T store on Saturday and he told me that I couldn't cancel my DF, but ensured me that nobody was getting an iPhone from that store until I got mine. He said they weren't expecting shipments until the direct fulfillments came in.
So I hope this is true and that I get my damn phone soon! I hate not having an Apple store close to me (closest is 2 hours and it would be lame to drive there and have them gone). I guess I'll keep waiting like I have for so many months now.

At least I got a little satisfaction out of playing with the 2.0 software and apps on my wife's original iPhone today.
Is it possible you can change your direct fulfillment order say from a 8GB black to a 16GB white?
I wish that were the case........ my ATT store got a shipment in the following day. There is an apple store 10 min from me but the line is steady at 3 hours long and they closed the "iphone line" today at 430pm so apple can deal with other stuff. they re open the line later the next day....
I know other people are getting iphone at that store beacause the rep told me to and seemed almost evil when she told me that i cannot cancel my order and immediately purchase one that is in stock
If ATT cant do something as simple as cancel an order or give an iphone that they have in stock to the people that DID order it, I cant imagine that ever happening in the history of the world... By the time you get your 8gb they will probably have 16gb whites and you can swap it minus the 10 percent re-stocking fee if you open it
I actually hope you are correct and receive yours by Thursday. I ordered mine on Saturday afternoon so I would probably get mine around the same time.
That's when I ordered mine too. I hope they get them in quick, it'd be pretty nice instead of having to wait until next Monday/Tuesday.
