Guys....if it is not working do as Diode suggested above (enter the last 5 digits of the order number and the store's zip code, not yours) and it will work. I was having the same issue and when I followed this it pulled right up!!

Didn't work for me. But I did get the confirmation email, so I have to think the order is in there somewhere.

(I gave this to the sales guy at the store but it's the same as what I have on my account).

that's what i did and it worked perfectly after 1 1/2 days...
guess it just took some time to go through the system. ordered Friday afternoon showed up under tracking Sunday morning... still haven't received any email about it though...

Hey, that one worked! Either that or it just happened to go through the system when I tried it your way.

It's funny how the shipping is backorderd. I guess the trucks all have flat tires...
 
Quick question, I have a 1 under backordered for both the phone and the freight. If I call early enough tomorrow, do you think it's possible for me to change mine from a black iPhone to a white one? And if so, without any delay in shipping since it hasn't shipped yet?
 
Sorry about that, I changed my previous reply to say *SHOULD* work. How long since you ordered? Maybe it takes a while to hit the system. I ordered Saturday morning and when I checked it with the last 5 digits of the order number it showed up this morning.

And mine also shows back order for freight and now for the iPhone (16GB White).

I did finally get through. All told, it took nearly 48 hours to show up. Which is fine, I guess. Not like I expected any action on it over the weekend. I'm dying to get this thing, though...
 
I'm just curious if anyone got their direct fulfillment order this weekend. I didn't place my order till 3pm on Friday. I keep reading how many of your ATT stores didnt carry that many phones. I live in a small town outside of San Antonio. My ATT store got 140 phones total and sold out around noon friday. I'm so mad, had I not gone out to lunch I probably would have my phone right now. I was told that they were expecting phones on Saturday but nothing came, now I'm being told that maybe Monday.
 
I also went the DF route but have yet to even receive an email. I placed the order at my local ATT store yesterday around 1:30pm. The guy there told me that it normally would take 7 to 10 days but also stated that the stock in their warehouses was getting low so it might take even longer. I'm hoping this isn't true and he was just saying this to cover his butt just in case.

It seems like most people on this thread might receive theirs sometime this coming week. I hope this is true. :)
 
My dad placed his order today. Since he got his original on the 26th of May he's getting a special deal though. AT&T is making him pay for the subsidized price of the Black 16GB...but fully refunding the cost of his original iPhone. He'll end up getting like $180 back when he returns his old iPhone for the new iPhone.

They said 7-10 days for the shipment.

I'm still hoping to get mine tomorrow at the Oakbrook, IL Apple store. I struck out today when I was extremely close (#3 in line). So I'm going to go tomorrow morning even earlier to try to nab one of the first spots.
 
Stopped by the Apple store today thinking that I'd cancel my direct fulfillment if they had a 16gb in stock. There was a sign out front saying they weren't selling the iPhone today. Instead, I bought a case for the future (who knows when the direct fulfillment will arrive?).

Anyhow, when I was checking out, the Apple store employee happened to mention that the Apple store couldn't sell iPhones to people with a direct fulfillment order at AT&T. He said it was something they had just gotten a memo about.

So us direct fulfillment AT&T people are locked in, I guess. Hopefully they'll show up this week.
 
Well, now i can't even access the order status page. Am I the only person experiencing this?
 
I just got to the order status page, so it must be up. I am now on back order on both line items. Yay. I ordered mine Friday afternoon and have yet to receive an email.
 
Dang. When I try to access the page it says that there isn't a ATT.com page that matches my request
 
I ordered a black 16gb on friday around 3:30 and they told me 7-10 days. I got an email yesterday morning telling me it was back order and usually ships in 5-7 days. About an hour ago, I got another email saying that my iPhone has been ordered. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but when I check the order status online it still says back ordered. Hopefully I find out more tomorrow.
 
well within last hour or so, I'm back ordered again for some reason. The status now shows it as being back ordered when it wasnt all this morning.

Oh well.. I will wait.

:confused: I just can't understand why I can't pull up the order status page. I am growing more fustrated by the second. Gosh!!!!!!!!!

Me too. I had ordered Saturday. Originally showed up backordered, then an hour later it said 0 backordered. Woohoo! I figured I had a phone somewhere allocated to me.

I've been checking all day today (Sunday). Figured nothing would change today, they weren't working. Then just now I check and it says 1 backordered.

WTF. What gives? Did they run out of phones at the warehouse? Or are they trying to screw direct fulfillment customers and sending the phones to the stores to sell more. It won't work for me. I have a time limit. I signed up for AT&T service a week ago with what was supposed to be the 1st phone of a 3 phone family plan. If I don't get the phone this week, I'll have to cancel that account so I don't run out of my 30 day return on the 1st line. I may give up on the whole family plan idea and get an iPod touch. AT&T reception is very poor at my house anyway. Sprint reception is full strength.

There's always the option of getting one at the Apple store. Worst case AT&T may charge a 10% restocking fee if I can't cancel the phone.
 
My order changed from 1 to 0 and back to 1 last night. I'm guessing its normal.. lets see what happens monday.

I was thinking that maybe they are getting them to stores before the orders too. Jerks. I had no choice really but get one through AT&T and not Apple because of the FAN discount and another phone i had to return asap. I don't want to contact the store where i got ordered it because those guys, i think, are left in the dark too and they are tired from all this too. I'll call the number on the order and complain to them. First i'll see what happens tomorrow.
