Ordered from Apple at about 4:20 and haven't gotten an email yet. I have the order number and screen shots of my order being completed, for what it's worth.

Ordered mine at 330PM Eastern time and received my receipt at 8:45PM (Apple purchased)

Yes...ordered on Premier and received immediately after. 9:13am
Also went to Bestbuy in my town and pre-ordered one there...just in case something falls through with my order. I was the 14th person there to preorder...so she said she'd be calling me on the 21st for my appointment. I guess I'll decide what to do with that later.

I think I know the reason for the delays on Apple Stores confirmation emails.
Try to log into your Account and click on "Apple Order Status", this is the message you will recieve
Thank you for shopping at the Apple Online Store
Apple's Online and phone Order Status services are temporarily unavailable due to a scheduled upgrade to our systems.

Just Got it. 6 hours later. Ordered from apple. But its not a confirmation email, rather a Acknowledgment email???

i order mine around 11: am EST ..got an confirmation email with order number but when i check it online on status page it says
OS001: We're sorry but the information you entered was not recognized by our systems. Please contact us for further assistance.

Subject line says, "order acknowledgment" followed by my order # Then the body of the email, shows my shipping info, and order total.

I finally got an order to go through at 6:20p EDT. I just rec'd my email conf. (9:15p). It was like an orchestra b/c my Macs, iPhone, and iPad all went Bing, bing, bing, bing at 1 sec delay one after the next.
That is a confirmation. The next email you will get (next week) will be a shipment conf. followed by a rec't.

Ordered at about 5:30 PM EST, just received Order Acknowledgment at 9:20 PM EST. It's slow, but it looks like everyone's getting them.
Was finally able to pre-order at around 6:30 EST and I just received my "acknowledgment" email at 9:20 or so.
Account has been charged.

I now have no doubt mine will be arriving on the 24th!
Also reserved one for my dad to pick up in an Oregon apple store. Under my moms apple id. Gonna slip the confirmation email into his fathers day Card 😉
One concern I have is that upon ordering it, I used his number, his zip, and my moms soc which I had to used to preorder mine as well. Family plan account holder. It spit me to the reserve at a location near you option and Showed a $699 price tag!! My dad is eligible for the cheap upgrade so I'm assuming the price will drop to $299 upon purchasing in store?? Can anyone confirm or comment??
So I went ahead on with it needless to say since they dont ask for credit card info until your at the counter.

Yippee! 😎 Just received my email confirmation for the first part of my order: a 32GB iPhone 4 (June 24 delivery) and two bumpers. Still waiting for confirmation for my other iPhone (June 24 delivery), but I expect it to arrive tonight. I had to split my order because of the sluggish system. I was afraid I'd lose the first phone in the cart if I kept trying to add the second one.
Are you guys actually getting confirmation emails or do they say order acknowledgment?
