Curious, are you actually referring to the 16 Pro weight/size. Much more pocketable??

Coming from the 14PM the 16 Pro is a dream. All the screen issues I see many are commenting on is nothing I can see on my specific 16 Pro, I’m very thankful for that. Only thing I am now struggling with is the battery time…
The 15Pro. its 12g lighter and smaller dimension.

Yes I meant the diff between 15 pro and 16 pro. But I wouldn’t say much more pocketable, it’s a marginal diff. Coming from a 14PM the 16 Pro feels like a mini 😂 and close to perfect. But hey everything is relative, this is my first pro. Have done X, mini, regular and PM since before.

I doubt anyone uses all the features on any phone, myself included. For me, the improvements that make an upgrade worth it are the increased CPU, GPU, NE, and improved camera system (not counting the button .. it's sorta neat, but hard to tell if I'll get much use out of it long term). Anything else is just bonus for me.

There are no improvements worth upgrading. You don't have to justify your purchase to anyone here. Just say you want it every year lol

I want to return my 16 Pro Max but I did a store pick up, would I still be able to return at the store I did the pick up ?

Are you being sarcastic? I really do feel it’s way heavier.

Yes I was being sarcastic, because I don't believe you, and science is on my side. The weight increase from 15-16 series is not perceptible in the hand. Its literally like the weight of a couple paper clips. Going from a Pro to a Pro max, ya you would likely notice. My 14 Pro at 7.4 (screen protectors and case on) oz to my 8.2oz 16 pro max (protections in place) measured with my food scale really isn't that apparent but its there. No way you are feeling .2 oz of weight difference.

How much ‘worse’ is the battery life, in your experience? I upgraded from an X to the 14 Pro Max for the battery life, and the battery life is indeed great. But I wouldn’t mind a smaller phone if the battery impact was manageable.

For me it was. The 16Pro felt a bit more substantial especially with a case. It’s not massive but I could tell. But if you’re coming from the 14Pro the difference might be less marked. Especially with weight. Since the 14 is heavier

The Ti Case in the 15-16 does make a difference. So far making the jump from a 14 pro to a 16 pro max hasn't felt unpocketable; however, there is no question its less pocketable and substantially larger. I don't think the weight difference is that bad at all. I still would get a Mini if it had the crazy batter life of the pro and max....12 mini was just not that good especially when under heavy use.

Only had it since Friday, and so far it hasn’t been great… will give it a week to settle and then judge. Crossing my fingers it won’t be too bad 🤞

Well, picked up two 16 Pros today since I was hoping I can get a better display without as much blue shift off axis and both new 16 Pros had the same low quality blue shift screens. I’m done trying this year. Clearly something is up with apple’s quality control this year. Will keep the one I have. What a shame.

Why not try a regular ? I am second guessing the 16 pro because of battery life and not really caring about most if not all the pro features really

Trying out a 16 plus in black today :D

I’ve tried all of them so far. I think I kinda want the always on display in a compact size.

im still in limbo. I went back to using my 15PM for yesterday and today, I actually feel a difference, i like the way the 6.7 inch screen feels. Comparing them side by side it doesn’t look very different but it FEELS different to me. However I do find that I’m searching for the camera button on my 15PM, and now the action button (which I was using before) feels slow to open. I don’t know what to do.

I’ve thought about trying a regular pro, but I like the 15PM screen size. And I won’t go to a plus model because I use the 5x camera a lot.

If it’s only about the camera control button imagine it costs money every time you press it. If you use it 3 times a day during 1 year it’s a dollar a pop (1300$ 16PM). Would it be worth that?

With that said I must say I love my new 16 pro and the CC is a pleasant surprise, actually like it, best is the new size and weight, coming from a 14PM.

That’s an interesting value calculation, I’ll have to think about that. I need to do a trade in anyway, I may feel the regular pro and do an exchange.

Of course there are, for some. For me, definitely. For others, definitely not. We all have different things we value, and that's ok.

And I didn't enter into this conversation as an attempt to justify a purchase. People were asking why folks upgraded; I gave my own personal perspective.

I was on the fence about returning my 16 pro for the smaller, lighter standard 16 (I still find the 16 pro a little unwieldly for one handed use).

I went to a local phone shop yesterday to see if I could go back to a 60hz screen. It was an immediate no from me. What a shame. I think once the standard iPhone comes with 90 or 120 hz screen, there will be a huge number of pro owners that flock back to the standard iPhone.

It absolutely is noticeable. The weight different between the 15 Pro vs 16 Pro, each with no case, is immediately noticeable. The difference between the Max variants is much less noticeable. But with the regular Pros, yeah it’s the very first thing I noticed when I picked it up. I still have them both and can compare them side by side.

For you to make such an adamant argument against someone noticing the weight difference is absurdly silly. Spend your time on something more productive.

If the shoe were on other foot and 15 pro was Heftier and 16 pro went on a diet every YouTube would be oooo’ing and ahhhh’ing the dramatic difference

I did my return today , I didn't want to return it but deep down I knew I had too. I loved the phone but the touch screen issues have been a nightmare for me & the Always on display isn't really always on which is another issue.

If Apple pushed out an update to fix the touch screen issues I definitely would have kept it.

First time iPhone user as well.

I Still don't believe you.
