I have read this post 5 times. It seems to go around in circles.
Not sure what "bundle" you are referring to. The streaming service does not charge you data using AT&T cell service.
What other service are you referring to?
You can get an unlimited data cell plan if you bundle with DIRECTV satellite service.
What people are trying to figure out is can you swap out regular DIRECTV for DIRECTV Now and still get the unlimited data cell phone plan.
This is a deal breaker for me, I basically watch everything from my DVR and I can't imagine watching a show these days without being to skip through the commercials. In the end, it seems like the prices for the main service and the streaming service are comparable, only you don't need their hardware for streaming and you lose the DVR ability.OK, been using this for a few days now. Mostly positive but a few glitches, hoping they iron these out soon.
- DVR functionality, particularly pause\resume\replay would be nice, and that is apparently in the future plans.

Directv Now is a completely different service from Directv. The two are not interchangeable. So no, you cannot switch out.
Why go through all that when what I currently have allows me to do both? Until the streaming world is able to offer the same features I'll just stick with my Directv Satellite and DVR, I get that it's still in its infancy so let's see how it goes in another year or so.Sounds like Hulu would be a better fit if live TV isn't something you need. I'm the same w/ Prime Time TV but I also need live for sports. There are some options for me to get around this but if you really don't need live TV, why not just get Hulu and an antenna to get OTA channels?

Same here. But you can verify that you got in on the Apple TV (or Fire Stick) deal: Go to Acccount/Payment History on the web page, and expand the initial one-time charge. It should show the promo offer device.

Which seems like a logical choice, in my case I'm happy to pay more for the functionality I want. The streaming price with the lifetime intro price is close to intro prices for their Satellite service, but won't go up after the intro period. So, in time, it is $35 versus $100 or so.
Just got mine too. Shows tomorrow delivery date.Just got my ATV shipping email.
I watch mine through Safari. You just need to install Silverlight. Is there a way to get DirecTV Now through a web browser?

same here. My email only show my name and apartment number in the ship to address though. does your email show the correct email address? not sure if the email pulled the wrong info or if they will actually try to ship to what came in the email.
Same. Just my name, apartment number, and city/state. The actual address is not listed.
Yes, but it doesn't work with all browsers. Firefox and Edge are not supported at all, and Safari and Internet Explorer require the Silverlight plugin. Even then, I couldn't play my local stations (ABC, NBC) in Safari. Chrome works best and does not require a plugin. Is there a way to get DirecTV Now through a web browser?
