Signed up for the free year with Verizon. Unable to Connect to Disney+

It wouldn't be new product\service day without it....you know not working.

Yes, I did notice that on my ATV that it said to sign in to my mobile device and it would log in automatically on ATV, so I tried it and it worked.

BUT, when you literally type in "Disney+" which is exactly the name of the app and it's #30 down the list of found apps, something smells fishy.

I didn't see anything on the Disneyplus website for apps. I only found "How to watch" in teeny tiny print at the very bottom of the main page (once signed in).
App just came out, why so upset about it being #30. Check tomorrow what # it is. Mountain/molehill

No, but they used to push out new channels automatically.

Wait and see, I guess...

Or they'll just skip it and make people go out and buy an ATV4 (with holiday specials coming up).

My friends just got the last one in stock at their local Target - they can't seem to keep them in stock lately (with the free AT+ year you get with it right now, and their Target Red Card discount).

I doubt we will see an aTV3 release. I was just clarifying that if it got Disney+ it would be pushed out and not downloaded by the user. You’re right about getting a new one; the only old aTV worth keeping is aTV2.

I get it for free through Verizon so I will take a look later today on a new OLED I just picked up. For me, I am looking for the best quality picture and sound. I am interested to see how Disney+ stacks up compared to Apple TV+.

Launch traffic problems, can you imagine a world-wide one?

Patience, just don't go out and rent/buy discs you might only watch once and return.

Used Disney DVD/BR's are still expensive around me - $10 for a used Disney DVD and if you turn one in, they give you $1 in trade - so you're better off getting Disney+ (what I did). I need to catch up on the later Disney Movies...

I’m guessing it’s gonna be down all day.... Signed up for the free trial but am unable to watch anything due to errors.

Not a good debut for D+ but there’s still time I suppose.

It doesn't in terms of visual quality. The picture quality is like Netflix. Which is fine I suppose but ATV+ quality on an OLED is amazing.
It's interesting that Disney only uses dolby vision on two of their discs, black panther and spider man far from home. They don't use it on anything else. Just HDR10. And their HDR and atmos mixes are less than great. Like it's more of an after thought. Which is sad because they own the biggest IP's.
But they have dolby vision on many of their Disney+ movies. I'm curious how well it's used. Just slapped on or do they dynamically adjust it per scene. I'll have to spend some time watching.

And the mandalorian isn't in atmos. WTF?

Anybody know how to turn off paid content/content provider in appletv app? I don’t want to be browsing for a show and have it be paid. Way to disable all but what I have? Appletv +, Disney+,Hulu, prime. I don’t want any cbs/nbc etc... shows in there asking me to buy a show or sign in.

With the extreme cold here in the Midwest, no one else has anything better to do (my friends are gonna set up their new ATV4... and start binging... ;) ).

Why? I discarded mine into recycling..
For one, it still works with Apple Music so you can add streaming someplace else for cheap. Bigger, the aTV2 can be jailbroken. It has a pretty active app community. You can turn it into a really power efficient media server. That way you can have your old aTV2 streaming movies to your new aTV4k devices.
