Not at all. Been wearing it daily since it launched. Wouldn't have it any other way. Excited to see ongoing improvements on the watch though.

I also understand the need for bumping up the specs for series 1 to have a more uniform experience for newcomers going forward....especially when it comes to apps.

I'd feel cheated if I paid full price plus hopefully with watch os 3 the apps won't be so dang slow to launch and will actually be useful.

Strange question. It would imply that we as original owners thought they were never going to update the watch. If anything 16+ months without an update felt long.

I'm stoked myself about GPS and swimming with the new one.

The original Apple Watch came out nearly 18 months ago. Why would we feel cheated that a better version is available now?

I bought my AW Sport 10 months ago and I do not feel cheated in any way. I knew they were going to release a new watch with better features, but I waited for a good sale and bought an original.

I will wait for another sale and buy a new one with GPS. (Probably the Nike version with the dark band) I run every other day with my AW, but I leave my 6P at home because it is too big. I also swim with my original, but I waited for several months before I finally took the plunge. (No pun intended)

An accurate distance is a nice-to-have, but after running outdoors for 19 years, the actual miles is really not that important anymore. I run because I like to run and I stopped tracking my weekly / monthly miles many years ago. I know from the wear on my running shoes that I am getting 100+ miles a month. I really do not need my Watch to tell me how far I am running, but I get money for my daily steps from my companies health plan, so I wear it every time I run for tracking purposes.

I don't have too big an issue with the speed of this one. I do want gps and ability to swim in it. I didn't get mine until November so I won't upgrade right away. I enjoy my watch so no anger over a faster processor. I'd be angry if they did something like that months later but I think it's been long enough.

Nope, don't feel cheated. I don't really think the new watch is worth the upgrade unless there was a trade-in program of some sort. I'll probably upgrade to the AW3 whenever it's out as the current one is more or less fine and the AW2 doesn't add anything I really can't live without.

I've had my Apple watch since launch and have had a whole year to enjoy it. No regrets or unhappiness. I plan to pre-order the Series 2 tonight.

I'm very happy with the Apple watch I bought a year ago, don't feel a burning desire to run out and buy the Apple Watch 2. Sure, there's some appealing things about the new one but not THAT appealing! I'll probably wait another year or so before replacing my current watch. I certainly don't feel "cheated."

To be honest, I was thinking of buying a series 2 over my older sport edition....then I just realized the Series 2 is thicker and heavier...I think the Apple Sport watch is a little too thick now, and love the current weight...those two reasons alone talked me into being ok with my current watch.

I'm not talking about them launching an Apple Watch 2, I am referring to the fact that they are re-releasing the Apple Watch 1 with a faster processor. This is pretty frustrating and aggravating.

Lots of us pointed out the original watch was pretty poor so you shouldn't waste your money. The same goes for the next generation as Apple simply hasn't resolved the three design issues from the original.

I got the Apple Watch when it launched and I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of a first gen product, especially with OS 3. I love this thing and am looking forward to the third gen. I'm happy Apple kept the exterior the same for the second gen so that my watch still looks current. :D

I've also been struggling to understand what you mean by "cheated"

Is it because you feel the "Series 1" is the watch Apple could've released last year - but didn't? Instead, all we got were new bands and aluminum colors?

Is that what's grinding your gears?

I think some folks feel series one is a better cheaper generation one device. I can see that. But I choose to see this update as Apple releasing two new watches. One is the new Watch and the other is the new Watch plus waterproofing and gps.

Well, we'll see how the old AW1 behaves with WatchOS3, it would be kind of sad if it still remains as slow as it is.

Exactly, this makes me quite happy, cheaper apple watches = more people will have one = more developer interest for new apps etc. It's a win win situation

No they don't. They add a ton of new features for the S cycle. That's why it's a new model. Same design new model.
They've never done this before. Gone back and upgraded the internals of a first gen product to the same as the new gen.

They re-release the iPhone in the same form factor with a faster processor every other year (in a S-type update). How's this any different?

When I bought my original Apple Watch around release I was expecting a yearly cycle like the iPhone, I was pleasantly surprised it took this long, I don't feel cheated, because I was happy with what I was buying at the time.

That's just not how things work, they've done a bit of a facelift on my model of car I bought last year, but I'm not upset, because when I purchased it, I thought it was worth the money at the time, nothing has changed.

I felt a little cheated at first but I'm over it. Its been over a year and I've had my watch since launch day and love using it. It is under powered? Definitely. But I don't feel cheated.
