Good morning, everyone! 😊 Thanks a bunch for all your support for our OP! I heard from him that he’s been struggling with these conditions for a while now. He’s been feeling lonely since his grandmother passed away a year ago. Many of us who grew up differently, whether we were raised by biological parents, foster parents, grandparents, or godparents, have experienced similar feelings.

I have a suggestion for you all to help with your mental health. How about joining a community club at a public library or participating in an event there? Just like y’all do in uni when they have events during college hour or lunch time. They have book clubs, book talks, club meetings, arts and crafts events, and holiday events. You can meet industry leaders, book authors, and actors, and make new connections and friends. Getting involved in your community can help combat loneliness.

Oh, and I have this advice from my mentor who taught me AutoCAD for summer school online: join a sports team too! He referred me to meet up with the athletic director at my school and I found one based on my passions. There are free courses or programmes available for all ages and fitness levels to join sports teams and events at community parks, your school, or a community center like the YMCA in the states. Some teams charge a fee for uniforms, equipment, or other items like shoes, so make sure to check the description before you sign up with the head coach.

I was on the collegiate flag football team last spring. I was the only engineering student out of the two on the team, and I played defensive end and center. All the other players were majoring in kinesiology, sports medicine, and sports science. It was a lot of fun to be playing on the offensive line and rushing the quarterback on defence while I was still grieving after losing my Nan. I was doing grief counselling after games and practice sessions, during my lunch hour before math class.

Well, I can check T J Maxx as I'm over that way somewhat regularly but finding something to match red is a bit difficult: colorless, white, black, red seem to be the reasonable choices.
I had a flower strap that is in a clear type of silicone. Third party tho but 1:1 :apple: style sport band.

I saw gym red Nike at Marshall's, if you can fit m/l get t. 41mm but m/l straps are loose on me.

Y’all bad news Apple Watch wearers!!!

I received a word from Tommy @The Cockney Rebel when I just returned from talking therapy.

He had a mental breakdown ! And he just got a tangerine sport band, was about to wear it!

OP stay safe and don’t leave the party!!!!

I don't think its necessarily bad news. This will hopefully get him the help he needs that he didn't seem to keen on reaching out to get himself. Apple watch bands can only bring so much joy to a persons life and are really nothing short of a temporary distraction from reality. He seems like a nice guy and hope that he comes back better, stronger and healthier.

I feel for him, hes going through a lot and I'm sure that being sectioned isn't a fun experience but the world is a better place with him an active part of it. This proves that obviously someone over there cares for him enough to get him help. It means hes not as alone as he thought he was. Tommy we will all be waiting here for your triumphant return!

He recently visited the Apple Store earlier today and showcased his new strap in the Apple Watch mega thread before revealing he was sectioned under his care team. After I repeatedly advised him to seek help from a psychiatrist or gp he took a u turn from what he said a few days ago when this thread started. He had previously stated he would not get any help until we said all this advice. He also bought over 60 bands online from eBay and the Apple Store since he started buying straps for his Apple Watch Series 8.

Y’all got an update.

I followed up, and he DMed me back. He’s not in hospital. It’s something with his care team, but I’m still wondering if he got sectioned again. I got the update while I was machining parts for my friends in class earlier in the afternoon and showcased some pics while I had a lot of fun helping my friends out with their projects. Putting the I am complication to good use as well.

Looking forward to seeing more optimism from our OP y’all! Thanks again

Thanks, buddy.

I haven’t been sectioned, as has been said.

I just had a disagreement with the psychiatrist and psychologist.

I’m not entertaining them anymore.

I get better support, here on MacRumors.

Wishing you well, mate 👍🏼.
Hey there! So, you had a bit of a disagreement with your psych doctor and psychologist? What was the issue?

I was wondering if you might consider getting a second opinion? Sometimes, it’s worth exploring different perspectives, especially when it comes to mental health care. The NHS might be open to making some changes in their system if it’s not working well for everyone.

I hope you have a great day. Here is the I am quotes complication on other types of AW faces. This is the California face

My limited experience with counselling is that counselling itself is helpful, but only if you find the right counsellor, and that can take some time.
I got a different one this time, a newer one. She asked a bit more questions than the other one I had last year and took lots of notes.

Was also asked about my history with other things I had.

All the forms I did are on paper this time.

Good afternoon everyone! This thread has been progressing well. Our OP is doing well and has resumed discussing Apple Watch apps and straps. His negative thoughts about being on the worst side have subsided.

Though he disagreed with the psychiatric team that visited him, I advised him to try different providers for second opinion or write a grievance letter to the NHS. He’s back on the subject of Apple Watch and iPhone apps and straps.

Book clubs are great for making friends and sharing book content. I recently attended one and enjoyed a pizza lunch. Despite spoilers, it was a fun time reading “Harvesting Dreams” by Erica Alfaro, discussing high-quality education for underrepresented backgrounds.

If you live alone or are single, attend community events and chat with locals and friends. Check your community center, public library, or school for events like these.

Cheers!

👋 ~ THE END.

The middle shot looks like candles 👍🏼.
Absolutely! You’re absolutely right about that. The flowers that appear before they bloom look like candles, just like the Stage Light in the Portrait Lighting modes. Even if you adjust the brightness of the light, it’ll still look like that.

By the way, what bands are you wearing on your Apple Watch? I’m wearing my new Nike strap!
