Wow, I did not know this was such a big deal till I saw this huge thread. I had bought two bumper cases prior to this whole ordeal in black on launch day and then again a week or so later when I came across a blue one. Got an email the other day saying that Apple recently stated that all people who purchased a bumper were eligible for a refund for the bumper purchase. I thought cool. Then I checked on the status of both purchases and realized, hey Apple refunded both of my purchases. Wow, that was nice. But it must be a mistake, right? So i actually read the fine print, and you know what, that is about it. If you purchased a bumper, you are eligible for a refund. Period. It does not say one refund per person/household/phone. It just says, if you bought a bumper, you get a refund. Wow! That is pretty wild.
Now, about the free case deal, that I don't really know how that will work out at all. Maybe Apple will cancel a bunch of orders and maybe they won't. I really don't know. Although again, if you read the terms and conditions of the free case program, there is nothing in there that says you get either o refund of prior purchase/ or a free case. In fact, just the opposite. It basically reads as if you bought an iphone4 you can get a free case. Next paragraph then states if you bought a bumper, you will automatically get a refund. Again, no either/or here.
