I know the a7 is better than the 5c a6 but it won't be that noticeably faster for a year or two when ios8 is released.

At least the 5c plastic doesn't feel like the cheap Motorola or Samsung plastic they use. The 5c plastic feels kind like an iPhone 5 but with a thin plastic case over it because it has that aluminum frame under the plastic...
Pure BS…….everyone says Samsung phones are crap because they are plastic…then out comes the 5c and all of a sudden plastic phones are cool now……..because they come in pretty colors? I think it is just funny what people say to justify their choices……...

Not for me. I've been a Samsung fan for years. The colorful iPhone swayed me into getting one. While I'm still using my SGN3, I'm also happily tinkering with a 5c on my other line. =)

You must buy cars because they have "good tires on them" as well. :)

I buy them based on their power train combinations actually. Dependability over cutting edge any day. I go through phones like some women go through clothes. I get highly attached to my vehicles though.

Excuse me guys but, those conversations of Yours is hovering *slightly* away from the topic. Isn't it? :) So, can we please talk about buttons who rattles and doesn't rattles? Even if I'm now 10000% sure that this DOES exist on EVERY phone. Got it yesterday confirmed by Apple.

To be honest, I wish I never red this thread at all. Was just a waste of time, just like you wasted your time now by reading this post. Or for me who wrote it.

What Apple said ?

I think what you are hearing are the rocks in your head.

(Thanks to my Uncle Ralph for that colorful expression!)

It's the metal button that hovers over the internal power button that causes the rattle when shaken.

If it were jammed 100% tight against the internal button, so as to not rattle, it would be easy to accidentally depress the power button every time it bumped into something like in a woman's purse or whatever.

The movement is there for a reason. It's part of the design.

All iPhones exhibit this dating back to the iPhone 4.

If it bothers you, stop shaking your phone.

Me too. I guess we're two peas in a pod, then.

Free country.

Haha, just joking. Yeah...a little off topic I guess...

There are some people that walk around "shaking" their iphone and saying apple is crap. The real situation is dumb customer...Apple knew what they where doing. :p

BS! The power buttons of both my iPhone4S and 5 DO NOT rattle! It doesn't matter how hard I shake the phones. This is an issue with the 5S.

That's great that yours doesn't, but this issue has affected every iPhone model since the 4. It's nothing new.

No power button rattle on any of my families earlier generation iphones either. Appears to be more of a widespread issue with the 5S.

I've had five 5S units so far and all have had issues in addition to the power button rattle. Can only assume this results from poor design or QA issues.

Well, how can I consider your argument to be valid (that every iPhone model since the 4 has been affected) if my phones (4S and 5) do not rattle and the phones I had in my hands (including the 4) did not rattle. In my view, it means that not every iPhone model was affected. The rattle was obviously an issue and not the "feature" of all those phones.

I am not "justifying" my choice. There is nothing wrong with wanting a 5c because it is blue. I was going to get a 5s but saw the 5c at Verizon and decided to buy it and I don't regret it at all. Like I said, samsung plastic is very cheap but the 5c feels premium because it has a frame similar to the 5s except it is covered by plastic which just feels like u have a plastic snap on case like everyone else has on the 5s.

But what are my perfectly well-built iPhones 4S and 5? An abnormality?

I would say the majority of these phones did not have any issues with the buttons and rattling sounds, but there were also defective units affected by these problems leading to all those people complaining.

The 5S is a different story in the sense that the issue is more widespread and is in essence a rule rather than an exception. Hopefully it will change soon.

My two week old iPhone 5s does have the rattle when i shake it. I am not sure if i want to return it or not. It does not affect the phone now….but not sure about a year from now. But one thing I do know about Apple is they will replace it a year from now if it becomes an issue. Undecided…...

display iPhone 5s models at my local store all rattled the other day. Does not seem to affect sleep/wake functioning at this point. Until then, keep the faith ###
