In order to dispel any possible jealousy, it ain't all good news.......
The Mac Classic II boots ok but with a few jagged lines onscreen. Checked inside and sure enough it requires re-capping. Ditto for the PowerBook 5300.
Intend to do those repairs myself which will be a first, but must get equipped with a decent soldering-station before attempting that.
The Apple Power CD also has a problem - self induced! It was functioning fine, but not having the original Apple remote control I tried to pair a generic remote to it. Result was it seems to have messed up the configuration, and now won't play CD's. Just last week I found an original remote on 'TheBay', now awaiting delivery, and hoping I can re-configure the programming functions.

All is right in the world now because i notice he hasn't got what i've got, a quicktake 150, his is the 100, woohooo.

Knowing my luck i have just tempted fate and he will reply back with 'yes i have mate, it in storage with the rest of my other 200 Apple items' hahaha :)

All is indeed "right in the world" for you. And for anyone with a Newton MessagePad 2000/2100 you can relax too, but hopefully not for long. ;)

These kind of presentations are a real inspiration for all of us which have to handle with our beloved second half's.
I think if a collection is presented in such kind of way they can't complain.

I really like it.
Do the iMacs all work right there on the shelves for a perfect showcase for guests ?

I don' t like to put the aluminium books laying against eachother because I find them rather easy scratchable.
For the same reason I don't like visually matching harddrive enclosures in metal for the same reason as they tend to be always near of the metal mac laptop and scratching them while repositioning the laptop with the screen opened.

Some good points here.
The ones displayed do not have chargers attached, but as there is a power supply outlet behind the display, it would take seconds to plug in a charger/keyboard/mouse and be up and running. All but the oldest Powerbooks have serviceable batteries.
And talking of our beloved partners, it was particularly my wife who suggested a decent display, and we looked around together for some time before choosing it. She even assisted in unboxing and puting it together - bless her!
If my photos have given inspiration to just one person to do the same, it was worth posting my collection.
On the bottom right shelf is my modest collection of Thinkpads, visible in photos 1&5. Someone on this forum is responsible for that renewed interest - you know who you are;), so all I can say is, "Now look what you've started!"

To answer the opening subject question, "I'm not sure".
And I certainly won't even attempt to discredit Gamer9430's collection.
Anyway, hope the following will be of interest to some of you:

I look almost every day for anything new appearing on local sites here, and saw one only Key Lime in 2016 and one around April of this year, believe me they're scarce and I guess I was lucky to get both. And on Mon of this week, up popped another good-looking 466 Key Lime for 200euros (US$236). On Tues the ad was gone, so someone either got in quick or the seller had a change of heart.

Eh here in Italy people are selling those for 400 euros... a bit too much for me, I would like to get one as it was my first Mac (why oh why did I sell it?? ...oh yea to get the G4 model back then).

I miss it (always have) and It would be "emotional" to get one back... that said with the right price.

I suggest you check UK ebay site because there is a couple of what you are after from sellers in London

For someone who has to have one, perhaps not. However it's more than I've ever paid for a Clamshell, even a Key Lime.
Well considering the fact that I got a G5 for 80 euros.... 250 sounds steep for a g4, especially considering it is more of a space keeper than a real usable comptuer (in contradst my G5 is my main and only machine right now.)

So yes the price is steep for me, I want it but cannot afford more than say 150..

I think my thoughts on what is considered a 'reasonable' price for an old mac is way out compared to yours and there is me thinking £200 was reasonable.

It seems anything above £100 is way over priced lol

I think it all depends on how much one is willing to spend, on the other side there are paople that see something "old" with an Apple logo and suddenly think they can make huge money out of it.

Now if we were talking about ANY other computer manufacturer, a 2000 computer would be around 30 - 50 euro / dollar MAX, so I would say paying twice as much is good, three times is almost OK four times is the limit for me... now 200 euros I can think about it if it is a model I really want, but more than that ....and it's a no go!

There are two for less than £200, is £200 considered pricey?
Key Limes were going for about £80-90 on auction a year or two ago and that was a premium over the more common Graphite SE. There seems to have been large rises on certain older Macs as of late. On the other hand, after a large rise last year the price of G5s seems to be falling again.

I always wonder when prices suddenly go up whether someone on MacOS9lives or 68kmla has worked out how to get unsupported stuff to work on particular models.

The G5's are obviously cheaper since they are too heavy to dump them easily or they are still used as a doorstop ...
Whereas the Clamshells show this handle to throw ... :D

Six month ago a bunch of 5 key limes were on auction. The first and second one earned about 500€. Crazy. The later ones were sold for about 150-200€ (I've got the 150€-one :) but the speaker rattles and needs repair...)

Well I wouldn't sell a Key Lime for 500euros, not yet anyway - perhaps in a few years time depending on the market.
For those who wish to pay 500euros at the moment, I don't think that's crazy. People who will readily pay that are obviously happy to do so, and there's nothing wrong with that.
In a previous thread I showed photos of a near-mint, boxed G4 iBook I purchased earlier this year. I didn't mention a price, but if I admit now that it wasn't far off 100euros, many would think I'm a madman. If so i'll willingly wear my straight-jacket with pride; to me that iBook was worth every penny. And for those who think it's trash, that's ok too. ;)

Yeah, I do know, how it feels to be a madman! :)

On the topic of posting some pictures, I got my iPhone X today and was testing out the Portrait Lighting feature on some stuff. I really like how this one came out
