The poster of the images offered additional details supposedly from a source with links to Foxconn, suggesting that the "iPhone 8" will have a thickness and size similar to the current iPhone 7, while the steel edges will be finished in a polished "Space Black" color.

If they're right about space black I'm assuming it will be similar to the Apple Watch finish as that's the only product line right now with a space black color option. And some of the rumors did indicate they ere using the same SS as the Watch.

And have Apple done the same thing on the anniversary of their other products? If not, then why iPhone?

Because the iPhone is their biggest selling product and their most popular so it makes sense. Apple have celebrated and acknowledged other anniversary's over the years just not as much, considering the iPhone 8 will be announced in September the only reason it is being announced is in celebration of the 10th anniversary!

Great, an iPhone 6 again. Different year, different colour...Oh, the camera seems to be upside down btw. Such innovation, much wow.

I'd prefer brushed but if it was like this I'd have a nice clear case on that bad boy out of the box.

The Apple logo will be illuminated. How about letting you change the color of the logo?

It won't be illuminated, would be damn annoying to other people. They are already removing the illuminated logo on the MacBooks

I'm not a fan of the stainless steel edge - that thing is going to scratch like crazy...
The polished one that is.
No it won't. I have the stainless steel black Apple Watch and there are NO scratches on it after more than a year... and I have been hard on it.... whack it into walls and metal door frames, working outside in the dirt and rocks, etc. Looks brand new. The sapphire screen is crazy how much abuse it can take!

Saw an interesting theory on YouTube that posits the elongated power button on the side could be because Apple is integrating Touch ID into it. That location makes the most sense out of any i've seen so far.

I'd much prefer that then moving it to the back. Hoping it is still a backup though and they are able to put it under the screen.
