Makes sense if it looks like the Apple Watch, would be a bit suspicious if it looked exactly like the Galaxy S8 or something. The real question for me is if the size feels nice in the hand. So no 7 Plus dimensions, make it small.

Nah, Apple needs to do what's necessary for this to work and have at least all day battery life. Thinness is way down at the bottom of my wish list these days.
I'm really wondering if all the people that complained about the bezel size are singing a different tune with the rumor of Touch ID going on the back. I for one, would rather the bezel stay the same size if they can't somehow incorporate Touch ID behind the screen (which I doubt they'll be able to do anyway).
You can easly polish a stainless steel surface and remove scratches in your home. I would prefer stainless steel over any other material. If you scratch your aluminium iPhone you have a scratch for good. Cant see your concern rly...

Take into consideration, the iPhone 8 won't be going head to head with the S8 - it'd be the Note 8. Let's be honest: the Note 8 will have the fingerprint scanner embedded in the display.
All previous iPhones have had color matched camera rings.
If we're being honest, no one knows what the first device will be with an embedded finger print scanner.
So are we switching from complaining about the iPhone being too thin to now being too thick?

It isn't speculation. Just wait until the Note 8 is revealed and it will all make sense. So, in August or September, feel free to call me out if I'm wrong.
I feel a bit of a hypocrite saying it's too thick but then slapping a huge case on it anyway, even if it does look clunkier than I expected. Looks beautiful regardless, I'd love to see what devices people think look better than that.

I like the overall design. It seems a bit thick, though. I don't mind thickness per se, but if you make the phone thicker and fill it up with battery then you make it heavier, which I do care about.
Also, isn't steel significantly heavier than aluminum? I know the steel Apple Watch is heavier than the aluminum one. It's fine for a watch, but I don't think I would want to compromise on weight with my phone, even though it does look very nice.
