I heard from an inside source that they aren't shipping till 2011

Am I the only one here who thinks these bumpers are extremely bulky? I don't understand all the hoopla over this alleged product.
For those of you comparing "groups" of order numbers to anticipated shipping, I just want to point out that different colors will have different shipping times, regardless of group.
Why you ask? Because some color combinations are more popular and unless someone did a popularity analysis on the orders they might not have realized it until they were quite a few orders in. They also specifically said in the order process that silver parts would take longer to ship.
Of course I am going to get flamed with the "well any reputable company would have done this" - you seem to forget that this company is a rather small shop that stumbled upon the big time. They weren't prepared. Again the flames for "well they should have been". Think about yourselves, if you had a product that you sold maybe a hundred or so a week and your volumes jumped to 10,000 overnight how would you handle it.
Come on guys - at least they are communicating with us and still answering the phones - they aren't Ivyskin!
And for the real screamers, no I am not an employee or family member. Look at my profile, I've been around a while, this is not a throw-away account.

The manufacturers have discovered the case renders the phone unusable but are planning to provide a free band which can be placed around the case which will help.
I've never seen a product advertised so well with such demand and not actually be produced. There has to be a very real and bad reason for this.
to those who ordered july 1st before preordering was mandatory, there wereonly 2 color options available, all which would be supposedly available when orders started shipping. So of course those ppl can associate order# with shipping order. Like me.

You guys should start thinking about getting your money back. this does not look good, especially since the company does not communicate with you.

Another day goes by with no photos and nobody has received one.
let's say 1000 Vapor cases went out last week..what's the chance of someone on this forum to have received one for review...pretty slim like the lottery.

Yep, me too. I changed my order from black/black to black/silver and Terence emailed me almost immediately confirming the change and a ship date of early August. I have my silicon Vapor4 to hold me off as stated earlier.
Not really, someone either on here or on another major tech blog / forum would have received one and took pictures, done a review. Especially since a lot of people here are in the first batch of preorders.
No thats not the way to look at it. Lets say 1000 went out last week. What are the chances that anyone of those 1000 recipients, took pictures and uploaded to ANY site to show off period. And these aren't just ANY receipients, these are iPhone 4 users. So that already steps up their chances to do so. Given the fact that everyone and their momma on every iphone forum w/ a accessories section is looking for pictures, one woul dhave surfaced by now. Very likely indeed. so it is kind of suspicious in that regard.
Well, based on what I was told on the phone and also the element case FAQ on the website, we will receive a shipping email when our cases ship.
So, no email = no shipment, yet.
The moral is no one should be checking their mailbox for their cases -- we should be checking our email for shipping notification first.
My guess is nothing will ship before the end of this week. Even then, we'll get emails, not cases, at that point.

Yeah surely on a $80 case they are using DC or tracking. It would be foolish not to as anyone could just dispute the charge saying they never received their case and get a refund as EC would have no proof it was ever delivered.
And tracking numbers are emailed first.
