I did finally get an email response from them but I feel like they aren't being totally forthcoming about sending out the case. If the just said that they are overwhelmed and it will still be a couple days or weeks I would feel the communication was better. Here is what response I received:

Group 1 shipped already so you are likely to be in Group 2 which is scheduled to go out this week.

matthew, thanks for posting this. what was your order #? were you a preorderer, or a july 1st orderer?

My order is #4705 and I did pay for it on July 6th. They also said that they will send an email before it's shipped so like everyone else I'm not sure they have actually sent any out yet. I can be patient and have no issues waiting but they should take some time to update their site and let everyone know what's going on. It wouldn't be to hard to let everyone know the progress and even include a small video on the site showing the case. They do seem like a good company just overwhelmed and not very good about updating customers.

Group 1 shipped... and not one person on the internet got one :eek: How many cases were included in Group 1? Perhaps just 1 case :confused:

okay see your order # is what bothers me. i am order # 24xx, and i haven't received an email or nothing indicating it has been shipped. not only that, about 15-20 pages ago, i posted a conversation i had with a guy who told me about two weeks ago that they have ALREADY began shipping cases out.

So obviously something isnt right here.
 
I hate to say that but yeah it does seem to be that they aren't being honest about sending any out. I guess we just wait and see for now but it is getting to be a little ridiculous.

Yeah thats the company line they have been telling people, "Oh your order is in the next batch to ship out this week."

The problem is they maintain they have shipped some and no one has pictures or a mention of the case.

Its really not very difficult to have a blog that you can update customers of the progress, it would probably save them time in returning emails and phone calles, Grovemade did that and it was so helpful. But apparently a paragraph, or even 2 sentences is to time consuming to update customers.
 
Seems like this company is doing what Ivyskin is doing - making up lies with the hopes you guys don't cancel orders.

Totally agree. I've seen no order numbers less that 2000 anywhere on the web so you have to be group 1. I can't understand why they are sticking to this we have already shipped stuff. I can take and forgive that they are very busy and are way behind but not being honest about what has been shipped isn't cool.
They must not being reading this thread. no one here has gotten a shipping notice:mad:
 
This would suck if they pulled the same stunt as IvySkin. Good thing I ordered using an AMEX through Paypal, should be enough protection to cancel the order
 
group 1 = 1 case
group 2 = 1 case
etc etc etc

damn you element case...outsource to china and get some cheap labour to make em quick!!!!!!!!!!


Very likely. In the interview from the link that I posted a few pages back the CEO of Element Case said that it used to take him an entire day to produce JUST 1 custom iPhone case... So I think each batch = 1 case.
 
I'm sure that if friday comes and goes and no updates are sent out, quite a few people will cancel their order. I'm sticking in there for the full 45 days unless something better came out. don't see that happening.

Meanwhile I'm waiting to get my hands on the PHONE tomorrow morning.
 
Ugh, Friday can't come soon enough! I'm ready to see some actual pics of this thing. Hope at least SOMEONE gets one by Friday. :rolleyes:

Me too!! I really wanted the vapor 4 for the Canadian release date. If our carriers would update us on what the heck is going on I could decide what I'm going to do.
 
Apparently Vapor doesent care about putting a little effort into communicating with their customers. I am sure they have a database with all pre-orders, it would be very easy to send out an email update. They have been sent links to the forums, they have phone calls, and emails and yet they apparently dont care.
 
I really don't see why everyone is being so impatient. Element has told us from the very beginning that orders start shipping July 12th, and to allow 2-3 weeks to receive. Then they said that other than the initial 2 batches, that everyone else would be receiving their case early. This upcoming Monday would be 3 weeks from the original date.

I am going to give them an extra 2 weeks to have my case at my doorstep, or in my mailbox. If I don't receive the case by the end of August then I feel it's time to get my money back.

It's an awesome case, just be patient. They have already given us a real picture like everyone has asked for in the last email that all pre-orderers have received.
 
I have a huntch that they might be shipping from overseas, hence the reason they said allow 2-3 weeks shipping time :confused: ?

Do you know what shipping means? Shipping means placing it in the hands of a carrier. If one starts *shipping* on July 12 some would have received their cases within 3-5 days of that.. It is now 2.5 weeks after July 12 and *many* would have received their cases now.

How do you know that the case is "awesome". Are you doing an astroturfing job here? First post I see.

How do you know its an awesome case? The renderings are awesome but no one has seen an actual case or a verified picture of an actual case. Also where does it say allow 2-3 weeks for shipping? Also I have an email from the owner who confirms they didnt ship any on 7/12.
