How many companies go out there and tell the consumers there are issues? Did Toyota admit the problem of the stuck gas pedals until the NHTSA got involved and did an investigation? Did Apple come out and tell everyone that there are antenna/proximity sensor problems right away? Did Apple tell everyone the white Iphone will be delayed before everyone started ordering them? Thats the way it works. Sometimes its better to keep quiet rather than have people have a run on canceling orders.
- Element Case is not Toyota or Apple. It's a small company offering a limited range of products "in limited quantities".
- White iPhone is not available for purchase. No (pre)orders have been taken. It was announced that it'd have an initial delay, then another delay and now an even longer delay. No credit cards has been charged for it as far as we know.
- Element Case has been more than just "quiet" about things. They blatantly lied on numerous occasions and pulled at least one childish stunt to spread even more misinformation (hand model troll). Out of the three option of zipping it (as Abraham Lincoln suggests), being transparent (like many other case manufacturers out there, e.g. Grove) or spreading lies, they've gone for the latter. Why? Nobody knows.
- Your previous comments about social networking websites being for teenagers only is an invalid argument and I'm not even going to bother explaining to you why that is.
- Your perception of business/social networking relationship is unbelievably out of date. It's almost as if you've been offline for the past five years or so. Even brick and mortar businesses are involved nowadays. A purly online business that
already has its own social networking channels should have no excuse. Either dump it or update it.
Honestly, however you look at this drama, and even considering all the facebook and personal phone harassments from a very few here, Element Case people have been unprofessional in every step of the way. Defending them isn't going to wipe off any of the deliberate lies.
