Of course, when you don't have a sound rebuttal you call someone's argument irrelevant. 😂
Good job! You must've worked hard looking for that info in order to support Tesla. 🙄
Not sure why you're here. You're working so hard being Anti-Apple. 👎
You're dead wrong. As a person who's drives professionally Waze still has a "Waze" to go. Absolutely horrible map layout. Falls short when in areas with very few users. Convoluted mapping. Craps on battery life. Apple Maps works far better than Waze. None of them are as good as Garmin.
Interesting reading all these comments. IMO Tesla will remain a boutique car firm producing high-end luxury cars (although in all honestly their current quality is somewhat lacking to play in that field). If Apple produces a car it will be the same - although undoubtedly higher quality. I just don't see Apple actually producing their own car - I'm not sure where their project will go.
Once VW, and their partner Ford, gets their MEB platform really up and running they will be hard to compete with on cost and efficiency and THAT is where the mass market electric vehicles need to be. The id.4 is just about perfect for the American market.
Well clearly Elon didn't know the value of his company back then either...
Tesla CEO Elon Musk today said on Twitter that he once reached out to Apple CEO Tim Cook about the possibility of Apple acquiring Tesla, but Cook "refused to take the meeting." Musk says that he attempted to contact Apple during the "darkest days of the Model 3 program," offering Tesla for 1/10 of its value.

Musk's tweet came in response to Reuters' recent report about Apple's work on an upcoming Apple Car.
According to Reuters, Apple is aiming to begin production on an Apple Car by 2024, using "next-level" battery technology that involves a "monocell" design that bulks up individual battery cells and frees up space inside the battery pack by removing pouches and modules that hold battery materials. Apple is also planning to use lithium iron phosphate battery technology.
Musk in a separate tweet said that the Apple Car rumors are "strange if true" and that a monocell design is "electrochemically impossible."
There have been rumors that Apple once considered a purchase of Tesla and made a "serious bid" of $240 per share back in 2013, but given Musk's comments, that may not be accurate.
Apple and Tesla have been at odds since Apple started working on the Apple Car project and have notoriously poached employees from one another. In 2015, in fact, Musk said that he calls Apple the "Tesla Graveyard." "If you don't make it at Tesla, you go work at Apple," he said.
If and when Apple does start manufacturing a car aimed at consumers, Tesla and Apple will be direct competitors. That could happen as early as 2024 or 2025 if Apple's work on an Apple Car stays on track.

Maybe if you read between the lines you would've understood the example. Next time I'll make it much more elementary for those who can't comprehend. My argument was that Apple needs the engineering expertise. And then you decide to bring up "money". Money has nothing to do with engineering expertise. Hence the irrelevancy.
Talk about sound rebuttals. 🤦♂️
Yes yes yes, the typical line of "I own this from Apple, I own that from Apple so my trashing is justified" 🙄Yet I own Apple stock. Now gee, how can a person be so anti-Apple and yet own so many shares of Apple?
Like you said, money is separate from the argument at hand so just because you own Apple stocks doesn't mean you wouldn't talk trash about them. The most silliest form of logic I've read all year. SMH.And before you even accuse me, I sold all of my shares in Tesla and am waiting for Tesla stock to crash so I can get back in. Now, why would I be so anti-Apple and so pro-Tesla if my portfolio suggests I should be doing the opposite? Gee, it almost sounds like as if...I'm being objective here.
Waze still sucks overall when compared to Apple Maps. I have experience with this as a professional driver. Sounds like your only experience is driving to work. 😂I talked about traffic data. You bring up map layout. Again, talk about sound rebuttals. 🤦♂️
You're the only one arguing with everyone else on the forum.Sorry but I'm done talking with you. You can't seem to stay on topic and you're avoiding the facts. Have a nice day.
big blunder by Tim Cook. oof.
THIS.If you believe two major things:
1) In Tesla’s insane current valuation
2) That this even happened bc Musk was also “funding secured” at $420/share pre split.
If Musk was going to sell at $420/share, even he didn’t believe his company was worth more than $100B
No, Musk says more. He’s the talker...and I’m an Elon fan.and Cook tons more....
Did I say it was? My point is that I don't see Tesla competing in the sub $55k market in the future on a mass scale once more established automakers implement their EV plans.A $35k Tesla is not a high-end luxury car.
What is your source that tech came from the Beats acquisition?Beats gave us AirPods, AirPods Pro, and better sound in iPads and Macs. What fiasco are you talking about?
How do you get police and road debris reports on Apple Maps?Apple Maps works far better than Waze. None of them are as good as Garmin.

Really now? Please send me the links -- I'm happy to be wrong but I've always felt that was a nonsense marketing b.s. move.tim cook at one point in an interview told they bought Beats for the engineering expertise (as well as other reasons like the Beats streaming service). i remember it specifically because the interviewer asked "Are you going to be doing TV with this Beats deal?" and I was interested to see how Tim would answer it.
and it shows. since 2014, Apple has been improving the audio quality in many of their products.

Not sure about that? Remember the Power Mac G4 Cube? Or MobileMe? How about the iPhone 3G plastic cracks or iPhone 6 Plus bending? Maybe the white spots appearing on iPad Pro 10.5 or the bending in iPad Pro? What about the light bleed and spotty quality on the new iPad Air 4 display or the quality issues with AirPod Pro? Don't want to forget about the display issues on the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar either...Apple dodged s bullet.. Tesla wouldn't come close to Apples standards for fit, finis or reliability..
Not sure why you must resort to personal attacks. Elon is such a polarizing figure, but there are plenty of facts or quantitative statements you could provide to make your point instead.
what the hell? linkedin profiles prove nothing. If YouTube had a caption search feature, sure, but I'm not going to go through every clip to find it. That alone takes several hours to do and I'm not going to spend my life just to prove I'm right online anonymously.
I did find an engineer that used to work for Beats but is now on the AirPods team. https://www.linkedin.com/in/orenslevy/
Just search on linked in for Beats and AirPods and you'll come across several engineering profiles.
