Haha small percentage? Ok there. If it was so great, Apple wouldn’t have made 4 revisions of it and is rumoured to replace it altogether later this year.

Small percentage..thats bs. I've owned a 2016 nTB, 2017 15", and just went back to a 13" Touch Bar 2016. All of them had to have the keyboard replaced....I'm not a nitpick person either. If it wasn't for the warranty replacement plan I'd never consider getting a MacBook with this keyboard.

Apple had to make sure they could rape you on pricing seeing as the school season is starting, tho you may bet a larger screen, touch bar, touch id and a t2 chip. Tho some t2 chip machines are experiencing kernel panics. Personally I love my 12in Macbook.

What is the difference between the 1.4GHz processor and the 2.4Ghz processor?
Is it a different version of the i5? Which one?

Well, hopefully this is just a temporary simplification of the assembly line going from 4 laptops to essentially 2 (MBA and MBPwTB) before the keyboard revamp and revised MBA's with TouchID, MBP with TouchID, and MBP with TouchBar.

Ah who the hell am I kidding, the MBP will never be Touchbar less again. Idiots over there. They have to be looking at the metrics and seeing no one uses it for anything other than the standard fn keys.

Or, just maybe, your perception of how people use the Touch Bar doesn't quite match up with reality.

By the way, I don’t get the hate for the Touch Bar. Sure it’s a little gimmicky, but the fn key turns them into function keys if you miss them.
Because a lot of us who use these computers also code. And coding without physical buttons is complete crap. And the way you can tell that the Touchbar is a lame gimmick is look at the number of Chinese knockoff makers who copied it. Guess how many did? Yep, zero.

Again, if they’ve had to revise this keyboard 4 times, I think it’s reasonable for me to have doubts about its reliability. No need to keep shilling for Apple.

A doubt is a doubt, and of course it's acceptable, but you stated that as a fact. Not only you are wrong, but you offended a forum member in the process, for no reasons.

Ive is out, the CAT is out of the bag.

SSD prices are still high, needs to be adjusted, gotta start at 256GB.

Only two thunderbolt ports? this is weird ... do not think $1999 will sell well.

“People”... When are MacRumors users going to realize that the echo chamber on this forum isn’t necessarily what mainstream Apple customers think?

The TouchBar is a great idea whose potential hasn’t been entirely realized. Now that every MacBookPro has it and it’s been added to every other Mac through Sidecar on Catalina, I can see developers taking deeper advantage of the TouchBar.
lol this is never going to happen. Developers HATE, I repeat WE HATE, the Touchbar. Asking users to look down at the keyboard on a laptop is the stupidest ****ing thing I've seen Apple do in a long time.

A couple dozen (or even a couple hundred) complainers here on MR forums (or Reddit) don’t affect Apple’s plans in the least.
Yeah, just like the problems with the butterfly keyboards were overstated and isolated to MR forums and reddit. OK!

Anyone else notice that they copy and pasted the bit about the truetone on the MacBook Air in this MacBook Pro post? Or am I half asleep?

Hmmm, zero Chinese knockoff makers copied it? I guess that makes sense, since there are approximately zero Chinese Mac knockoffs.

I love my current old MB pro 2014. With 16gb RAM it is still going strong. This version is tempting. I'm in two minds whether to upgrade or wait until next year. Time will tell.

Well, Apple's macbook lineup makes more sense than yesterday, everything is more up to date, more streamlined and even with a cheaper baseline that makes sense.

Someone at Apple really is caring more. Now... just scissor those pesky butterflies and everything well be OK.
