No sense in wasting another exploit.

He will update Cydia because it's his baby and still has his name on it.

If I was Saurik I wouldn't update Cydia and MobileSubstrate for a good few months until he was ready to release his jailbreak.

It would completely screw over the evaders and people would be complaining about how their evasion jailbrake 'doesn't work'.

Maybe just cool down for a minute or so.

Let the story come out in full with all players giving there side before junping to conclusions who screwed whom

Side note: Cydia needs to be burned to the ground. It's absolutely horrendous, and always has been. We need a sleek, more efficient alternative ASAP.

yeah, this whole thing pisses me off. saurik was just kinda ignored, and without him, cydia would have never been created. i lost a lot of respect for the evad3rs team. and to think they did this for money is the disgusting part.

Except they've been a bit thick in releasing the jailbreak before 7.1 final. Now Apple will patch this by the GM of 7.1 and saurik will be screwed out of whatever exploit he and his team were saving for the final release, all because evasi0n wanted to rush to be first.

I'm against the whole piracy and stuff but they do deserve money for what they do. They bring a free jailbreak to everyone and it's not easy with this whole cat and mouse with apple. But I do agree they should've been more upright with it and the whole china fake AppStore is a real bad look.

Why...? What's worth doing is worth doing for money, right? Jailbreaking is not easy and only a handful of people are smart enough on this planet to do it. If they wanted to split a million bucks amongst 4 developers, power to them, they deserve it.

"If you're good at something never do it for free" you really think they spent time with the jailbreak code just for social labor?

And I would do the same if I was in their shoes. Why shouldn't they get paid. They don't have to do this for free. And it's not an easy task.

The JB is out, better to kiss and make up than keep fighting, the way i read it there is truth in both the evad3rs and in sauriks postings.

They have always maintained that they do not want money for developing a jailbreak... Although I have always donated because I believe you should never do anything for free... What they do with the money (donate it or not) is none of my business... I have donated small amounts (5-10$ at max) but, I have... And now they say that they did this because they always make money...

I think the biggest issue everybody is having is that they teamed with a Chinese company. Then on top of that, it comes out that their app enables piracy.

The mixture of Chinese and piracy leads to fear and mistrust which leads to the mess we have now.

They really did. They pushed something out to the public before Saurik and any other dev could , ahead of a 7.1 update basically screwing everyone else.

Kinda ****ed up. I see both sides.. honestly its not for any of us to judge.. we're the consumer at the end of it all and maybe nothing but good can come out of this for us.


My concern is .. is Saurik going to continue to contriute to Cydia on this new jailbreak , or only do this for a new jailbreak when another dev does the job.
