The plain white boxes are paper-based on the outside with the exception that the middle structure is made up of recycled leaks. If you tear open a plain white box, you'll learn all there is to know on the iPhone 12, 13 and 14.
In my experience, I once exchanged my saddle brown leather loop, they gave me a new one in plain white box (with part number labeled). There was no band illustration on the box. The staff there opened the box (it was sealed just like the original box), gave the new leather loop to me and put the old loop into the box. I think the box was the proof for replacement for their side or something.
My midnight turquoise arrived today. It's so unique. I guess it will become the most-wanted band when being discontinued in this September

Actually I purchased two
to be safe as you said.Yes last year I wanted Celestial Teal like crazy. It was discontinued at that time and could be found nowhere. I gave up hunting it. One day, I went to French store and I was surprised because Celestial Teal was on stock along with Hyper Grape sport loop. I ended up with 2 hyper grape loops and the celestial teal band. A friend of mine picked them up in Paris and took them to Vietnam later. I was so lucky and that feeling was so special bro.

Just as my offer on the Ceramic Series 2 expired this evening, someone listed a White Series 3, practically mint. I made the same offer and he accepted. I am unbelievably excited. My wife however will be considerably less excited when she finds out...

Congratulations! I don’t know how to feel about the S3 ceramic. The red dot is so distracting!
Black overlay is a good fix
I know there was a bit of fuss about the red dots on the cellular S3s, but it never bothered me - although I’ve never had one on the wrist. It’s probably worth putting up with to squeeze one, maybe two more OS releases out of it. Given the S3 is still being sold, WatchOS 8 should be a given, surely?

Today — pine green sport band on a rather dreary August day.
I went with Fog. For $5, it’s a good beater.
Given my Midnight Green iPhone and Pine Green silicone case, my color palate is earth tones. Pictured is the case and the bands I'm considering adding. I think the Sunshine is the one I love the most.
Sunshine is an awesome band. Don't hesitate.

You're correct. I love the mood of sunshine color, moreover, it's a kinda unisex. I bought for my wife also
I got a sheet of ‘watch dots’ for my series 3 and it was such a good fix to avoid watch-band colour clashes!
I remember hearing about those, but a quick trawl of Amazon appears to indicate that no one bothers making them any more, for obvious reasons!
As well as plain black, there are lots of tantalising but unavailable listings offering sheets of crown and home button stickers to match all band colours - perfect if you only wear one or two bands, but useless for the likes of us...
Had to chuckle at the one below - red dots to make your GPS only S1, S2 or S3 look like an S3 cellular! Bit like putting 'M' badges on your basic BMW!
I remember there being a whole website dedicated to those little stickers. Don’t think they’re still making them, though.

Also, a little fyi, but “GPS only” didn’t come until the Series 2. My S1 doesn’t have GPS or Cellular.
