Obsidian Mist Sport Loop

This one isnt coming off my watch for days...
It's at the top of my want list. Hopefully I can grab one before they disappear.

Decided I would miss Nike faces too much but I just don’t like any of the new Nike bands. Think I will sell my purple pulse that it came with. Here it is with Indigo. It looks almost navy to me. View attachment 955443
aaaand remove from bag. It's just not as exciting as I wanted it to be... hopefully someone can take some new pics at different angles/lighting and magically make it more yoink-worthy??

The solo loop is much more supple and noticeably lighter than a sport band. It feels amazing on the wrist but is an absolute pain to get on/off. (Ordered the exact size their little chart suggested, maybe sizing up would help.)
@Pitch has convinced me to give them a try. I mean, I agree with everyone saying they're cheap rubber, not worth collecting, and hold next to no resell value, but I wouldn't mind picking one up off Mercari or eBay down the road for $15 just to try it out. Let's hope someone out there has my size and decides they don't love them.

The fact that the lugs don't sit flush in the watch slot bothers me a lot. A big oversight on Apple's part.
Yep, I saw that too. Even MKBHD's loop did that. Lots of review units and now retail units. I don't think I could stand it, especially knowing I paid $100+ after taxes for one. (Not buying one unless I find it for $40 or less.)

Enjoying the new bands for all you lucky folks. Me? I’m still two years ago, rocking my new Nectarine sport band.

FedEx is 4 hours away from missing 8 PM. I don't have sunlight all day FedEx, I have to get these comparison pics out tonight! If you're not buying expensive bands just to show off to strangers on the forums, then what's the point???

Oh, also, Nectarine looks good. Need.

I like what apple did with the subtle pattern on these loops. There's a cool stripe that pops when you rotate your wrist.
The hyper crimson/Neptune green was the first to get this pattern, if I’m not mistaken. Perhaps the pattern is technically the same on many of these multicolor reflective Nike loops, but most of the black-background ones don’t have enough color contrast to make this sublimated diagonal stripe really pop like you describe.

Bright Mango is our first real orange/red sort of color on Nike bands. The Blue Black color is insanely deep, and it’s hard to photograph it.

Obsidian Mist’s closest retail release is Celestial Teal. It’s like a washed out version of Celestial.

Here’s the sad part: I think I’ll be returning Obsidian Mist. I don’t know if all of these are only meant to be used with newer watches, but they’re all tight to slide into my S2. Obsidian Mist, though, I can’t even get in and out. I don’t think it clicks in, it’s that tight.

Been a problem since the release of bands from 3/20. I've returned a few. I had to get 3 Coastal Gray to get one that worked properly. Apple quality has slipped tremendously, imo.

Alright, yeah, they’re all too tight. They’re all going back.
I had to replace the Nike Midnight Turquoise and a couple from the March release, but, I can't remember! I'm moving to another state next month, so, I'm not buying any bands now...maybe by Christmas I might get a couple. Honestly, I hate the issue of wondering if mine will be good. A friend on a FB group said all his new sport bands feel like used ones..no soft, velvety feel at all. Super disappointed. Oh, and the Nike desert Sand had to go back because the holes were terribly sloppy. And the ones with black spots...ugh!

My local Apple store had a blue Al in stock today, so I grabbed it. I love the color, but I think it's going back because it doesn't look good with a lot of bands. The red Al also looked really good, but that matches even fewer bands. I still have my Titanium, Graphite SS, and Grey Nike on the way this week. I just wish they didn't discontinue the Ceramic.
