Stainless Link bracelet. I watched a Youtube video where someone chose it with that at the extra band, and 🤮. I could recreate it for all to see, but I refuse to defile my lovely new (to me) ceramic by doing that.
I’m still waiting for the Graphite LB and Ceramic LB to come out. Ooh, and gold SS but not quite as yellow gold as the S0 promo bands (which I’m convinced Apple asked for back and destroyed at some point)

Yeah, white ceramic Link Bracelet would be awesome. Can you imagine what the retail on it would be though?

If brittleness wasn’t the issue, I feel price would be. They wouldn’t be able to/comfortable with pricing it at a somewhat reasonable price where the market would justify production.

Since Stainless ones are $349 and $449, I’d imagine ceramic would be $999.

Sorry I know this is off topic slightly but I just took a gamble on this on Amazon, for £389!

No idea what’s going to turn up as the photo isn’t of a ceramic although description is correct. It says in the description that Amazon Renewed stuff might not come with original packaging or accessories...so the correct band may not be with it (that’s my way of keeping this post on topic, ha!)

I’ll just hope it’s an open box deal of the century with correct band etc rather than an abused one...!

That’ll be an absolute stonker if legit, but Amazon never sold the S5 Ceramic.

That being said, some Amazon Renewed stuff is actually sold by third parties, so it could be one of the UK refurb outfits.

And grape harvest. And tasting the new vintages close to a nice warm chimney.... (I live in a wine producing region).

Speaking of which.... my new Series 5 SS is now set up. It is so bright and shiny and just gorgeous.... I'm in love!

- with Plum solo band

- with Cosmos blue classic buckle

This buckle band came with my big yoink last year when I purchased all seven SB and SL a guy was selling...

Baltic Blue LeLi will be next but I'm not in a hurry for now... gotta try all my bands on this piece of gorgeousness....
Btw, what watch face is that?

Thanks for that - it came with the ceramic pin?

Someone on here I understand got a new ceramic band out of Apple based on a serial number. I get the impression it was hard to do, and me doing it with Apple NZ when they weren't ever available here, or Apple overseas from NZ would probably push it to near impossible. Also £21 is cheaper than paying Apple retail :)
Yep, it has the Ceramic pin. Basically an Apple Replacement Part in a sealed plain box.

I contacted Apple about getting a replacement white/pebble for my S3. Only ceramic pin they had was for the S5, which they wouldn’t sell me as I didn’t have an S5 serial. But yes, £21 is much cheaper than The Mothership would charge.

Yeah just checked and it’s a third party, so we’ll see what turns up. Seems too good to be true but you never know...

I don't think brittleness is a deal breaking issue - there are plenty of ceramic bands from other brands. Isn't that all Rado does for example?

Awesome! I ordered one a little while back - thanks for the tip.

Good luck!

Quick word of warning - there was a super-cheap 3rd-Party refurbed Ceramic S5 on eBay once. When I questioned the seller, turns out they got hold of it with a broken screen and replaced it. BUT it was replaced with an Ion-X screen, NOT a sapphire. Quite how you’d check that, I have no idea!

Ion screens are a bit brighter outside right? So should be easy to check against my SS.

If you have another Watch to compare it with it would be doable. Either it would be equally shiny as an Aluminium one, or shinier if it's sapphire. Vice versa a stainless or Edition. There really is a noticeable difference to the eye in my experience. You don't even need them side by side.

Yep, if it's Ion-X it won't have the bright shine of your SS screen.

I guess the question then will be "is it still worth having for the price?"
The watch itself needs to be close to flawless. Unsure how a reseller would get one or why they’d sell it so cheap. So I have some alarm bells, although what can reeeeally go wrong with a year old watch (famous last words) to need refurbing!?

I’ll be ok with a missing box and band (I’ll see if Chargie has one maybe). Actually I’m almost entirely certain the original band will be missing.

Based on what @MostlyARMless said above Apple UK will sell you a new band if you have a legit ceramic serial number to give them. Chargie likely has them also - I haven’t checked his listings for a while.

I tried to use Apple’s service one - I do have series 3 ceramic watch. However my order was simply cancelled without explaining reasons. As easy as that. Chat support was not able to help or find the reason.
