Ooooooh... Vanta Black would need to be a matt finish case. That’d be interesting - wholly impractical, but interesting. Maybe with that nano-textured glass from the Pro Display XDR. S7 Edition anyone?
That could be the ceramic black equivalent we're looking for if a black ceramic wouldn't visually differentiate enough from SBSS to be viable.

Royal Pulse has frost, which is why it works. I think even very colorful bands beyond a certain brightness quotient don’t quite work on Space White. People say “oh every band looks good on white ceramic.” I don’t think that’s quite true. I think it’s more that the bands that do work on it work better than pretty much any other case. I think bands as dark and rich as Rose Red or maybe even Reds 2/3 are a little too heavy for Space White.
Some people say every band works on SBSS also - I don't agree with either, though I think for the majority it's true in both cases.

Interesting what you say about Rose Red - I haven't tried it, but I think you are right. Some of those strong, deep, rich bands actually work really well with SBSS but maybe not SWCer.

Conversely the pastels work better with SWCer than any other case; they get washed out and overpowered by SBSS, and the other SSs don't have the body they need to lift off of. In the middle are the strident but not too dark bands that pop with both black and white and look equally good, but very different, with both.

I still believe it's unique in that nothing outright doesn't go with SS, but like all compromises SS doesn't bring out the best in perhaps any Sport Band. Classic leathers on the other hand, it has nailed.

But I’m wearing olive flak on white right now 🤔 I think darker bands look “more interesting” against my gold SS, but overall, the stark white on wrist looks really good. And white matches everything. Only us pickies are going to overthink otherwise. Dark bands on ceramic aren’t as seemless, but I catch a look of the watch and band overall without scrutinizing it and I think it looks swell no matter what. My personal opinion is I dislike a ton of bands on SbA and SbSS. It looks great with dark and black bands but I don’t like what it does to other lighter and colorful bands, to harsh a contrast. I’m sure that’s what others think of the ceramic. Preference preference.

Both work but I think Graphite Hellman’s works slightly better on SBTi (it’s already super easy to get a cheap Graphite on eBay/Mercari):

So a question, why would a sport loop be longer than other sport loops? It feels like it’s been washed. Or is this normal after being heavily used?View attachment 1718443

My 40 and 44 are clearly different from each other pride and black 42/44 and the black38 charcoal 40 and cape cod 40

Real pre-2018 vibes with this week's arrivals. Five solid yoinks and one good deal from a fellow forum member. Couple of nice surprises - Mist Blue was still sealed and Violet Dust/Plum Fog is clearly unworn and has the plastic still in place on the pin piece - not what I was expecting.

One pang of guilt is that I only snaffled the 38mm Rose Red for the Box...

I’ll take the band if you only want the box.... just saying

Plum SB is here 💃

I just can not stress out enough how amazing the plum colour is. Both SB and SL look awesome. And if I ever had doubts about my craziness this is just the final proof: I just upgraded my 11 Pro to an 12 Pro Max, partly because of the iPhone itself, but mainly because I wanted to get the plum case so badly 😳🙈
