Sadly no dress, cold and very rainy today so comfy sweater and jeans. The thousand overhead lights showing weird reflections on the face. Taken during my 15 minutes of post vaccine observation.

It’s dark now so terrible photos, apologies. However I’ve just taken a delivery from Amazon Renewed (which some of you may have been following from the other day) and I now own a new band...
Slightly annoying as the band was £389 and it only came with the S/M piece...but handy as that’s my size!
Oh, and of course it also came with a Ceramic S5! Which appears flawless, aside from a couple small marks on the underside that are probably from resting on a charger. Screen appears perfect and it’s all setup on my Apple account, which tells me it is in warranty until Jan 2022!
Downsides? It has 100% battery health which may or may not indicate the battery has been replaced (but Amazon Renewed guarantees a battery health of at least 80%. That may rule out a change as it wouldn’t have degraded much over the year, so it may just not have been used much?!).
Also, it came in a plain box, wrapped in a felt pouch with just a standard white puck charger (which may or may not be Apple).
So it appears, so far, that for £389 I may have found the Yoink of the year! Assuming you can live without the original box and the M/L band piece missing, which I think I can!
Still can’t quite believe it to be honest, best band purchase I ever made 😳😅

That’s amazing it didn’t turn out to be a stainless steel after all then and longer apple care than mine! It’s possible it could be the original battery my s3 stayed that way along time. My ceramic s5 on 92% and seems 4 months older than yours but I can still do 2 days on it. Welcome to the club
Agreed, I really thought that was what would turn up!! I especially didn’t think I’d get the correct band. Nice to add a new one to the collection 😁

It you give Apple a call, they will sell you a replacement band if you give them your serial number. I have also seen empty Ceramic boxes come up on eBay from time to time.

Battery percentages seem a bit random. My ceramic, which was ordered pretty much at launch in mid Sep 2019, has 95%. My SS, which I bought new in December 2019 has 89%, and my SBSS, used exactly the same as the SS in that it has been either on my wrist or on the charger since buying it new in (I think) late April 2020 has 98%
My ceramic came with no ceramic band, so I need to figure this one out..
Apple will charge $50 for a replacement band. It won't be free. You'll also likely be on the phone for over an hour (I speak from experience).

Yeah battery is odd unless it just hasn’t been used much. Would like to know the history! Main thing is it paired up and registered ok, as I was nervous about it being locked to another account!
I have noticed the pin side of the band wobbles a bit when locked in. But that’s down to the band as I tried others too.
Best as I know / can tell through comparing with my wife's it's just Soft White. You have the only ceramic specific part with the pin section, so you only need a Soft White M/L piece, not a ceramic one.
If the band wobbles, you might be able to get a replacement from Apple by claiming it’s defective. When I got my replacement band, the rep hinted that they would have replaced it for free if it was defective (as opposed to just missing).
Be sure your 2-year warranty activates too. You’ll need to register for that, and Apple may ask for a copy of the receipt.
