Is anyone else less than impressed with the Sport Loops this season? I don't want any of them and that is a first for me. I just thank god for Clover and English Lavender. I bought them both and they are gorgeous!

No, I don’t like any of them either. I don’t like that half-and-half stripe of the color bands or the Nike-logo ones that remind me of underpants bands (sorry for the analogy to those that like them, it’s just my impression). I ordered my Nike starlight with the pride sport loop which is more grayish than I like, but at least it’s reflective, so I wear it when out walking in the evening. Otherwise I stick to my pile of sport loop knockoffs from previous seasons. But I’m always hopeful that the next seasonal drop will have some good sport loops. I would really like a mid-tone pink: conch shell pink, stargazer lily pink…or a pink/green combo: Nike Strawberry Cough perhaps 😊

I share the feeling. I strongly dislike the half and half look. It made sense for flags, but like this makes no sense and they look like cheap 3rd party. But I'm not a fan of the sport loops to begin with.

Looks wise, I would really prefer to wear silicone solo loops because of the sleekness and beautiful colors, but sadly I get a rash from sport bands so I suspect silicone solo loops would do the same. And I don’t want to spend a lot on a braided solo. I’m just happy I’ve found a few sport loop colors that’ll get me by for now. 🙂

Will do! I'll probably end up going SS in the end. lol. I don't upgrade annually (obviously since I'm using a S4) so it means I'd be looking at scratches for a long time, lol. And since AC+ doesn't cover cosmetic damage I'd basically have to break the screen to have it replaced for scratches 😂

I paid for the coverage and if I want a scratched screen replaced I feel they should do it. Otherwise people will purposefully break the screen which in turn could cause more damage to the watch which would cost Apple more to fix/replace in the long run.
Although I’ve never had to use Apple care on a watch in 6 years, If I’m going to go through the process I can pretty much guarantee that there would be enough “damage” that I’d be getting the entire watch replaced….. unscrupulous as it may sound. 😬

Looks like the first gen SL. My favourite product red “red” loop ever….
I always wished they would have pumped out a product red leather loop…. That would have been awesome!
Perhaps someday we will see it in the leather link…?

The whole “cosmetic” things not being covered never made sense to me. I paid for the coverage and if I want a scratched screen replaced I feel they should do it.

You have to draw a line somewhere, though, don‘t you? Otherwise people will turn up with the faintest damages or hairline scratches and demand a replacement. If this stuff would be covered, the price of Apple Care+ would go way up, too.

Otherwise people will purposefully break the screen which in turn could cause more damage to the watch which would cost Apple more to fix/replace in the long run.

Some people will do that, sure. Most people won‘t. Bad for your karma, too.

Exactly…… that’s why I always go sapphire as the alternative measures just sound like to much work.
But… if I did somehow accidentally break the screen… I’ll be receiving an entire new watch. My conscience is fine with that. I’ve had Apple care on 10s of devices over the years. Only had to use it once for a swollen battery in a iPhone X. Apple has made phat stacks off me purchasing AppleCare. Lol

I don’t recall the exact Gen of the SL, but yeah, it’s from some years ago (3, I think?) back when we had the mono color Sport Loops and with the old “texture” of the nylon. Feels like ages ago!

So I realise I may have been bitten by the bug.

I just went and ordered:
- Olive Grey/ Cargo Khaki Nike Sport Band
- Tornado/ Grey Sport Loop
- Golden Brown Leather Link
- Graphite Milanese Loop.

I am kicking myself for doing this, but I could not order anything less than this. Considering COVID situation, I will not be going out much, so leather and Milanese would not see that much of use, and hence I debated this for days, but I like them a lot, could not get away with removing any from the bag. If I was too flush with cash, would have likely ordered Dark Cherry leather band as well. Don't like the pills, but do the color, both Golden Brown and Dark Cherry.

Delivery is tomorrow, will post pictures when I get the package.

From no watch I have gone to 1 watch with 5 bands (1 included and 4 bought today). I'd say this is what they mean when they say, "this escalated real quick." 😅

I can't see the point of Milanese and Leather Loop, considering my office has always been home to me and I do not go out much since COVID, except 2-3 times a month .... but I just could not not order them.

On top of all this, since I got the watch, I figured hey, why not.. let's get AirPods 3 as well so I may leave my phone behind on short errands such as grocery runs. I amaze myself at times and my inner self just shakes its head.

Indeed. I have seen that with things. I just never imagined I would do that with the Watch, a device I have not even worn once since buying - didn't want to wear the Starlight band just yet, and was deciding on the bands to buy (yes, it was that, that odd).

Don’t they only offer a certain number of screen replacements with the AC+? I figure if that’s the case, they should be willing to replace it for whatever reason, minor scratch or shattered screen.

The dark cherry is stunning - especially with the starlight. I got it in a solo loop, and returned it for a braided (can’t justify two casual bands in the same color). I was hesitant because it’s not a color that will go with a lot of things I own, but it’s a great color.

I actually got on here to ask if nyone has pics of starlight with the golden brown leather link - saddle brown is really the right brown for me, but if I get desperate I might go with the golden brown. I have midnight, but I use brown so much more than black.

I got 4 bands for my Starlight. One of them is golden brown. Will post pics with Watch in a while .

First Apple Watch.

Bought 4 bands already. I have to say, to each their own, but to me, ALL of these are great, fit-wise, magnetic/ clasp strength-wise. I do love them all. Sport Loop, for obvious reasons, is the easiest to put on. Leather Link I struggle with to get a snug fit, it is almost always too loose. It takes me 2-3 attempts to get that. Any feedback is welcome on how to stop wasting time on leather link fit (no, won't sell it, I love it!)

Also have the Golden Brown case for the iPhone mini. The two go well together, not that I color-matched. I bought this Golden Brown because I like this color. It was tough picking this over Dark Cherry and I should not dream to buy that, too. Let's keep room for the summer.

From what I understand, you get 2 claims of damage on AppleWatch per year. I guess the question is, how much “damage” is considered a fixable/replaceable claim?
