I'm thinking Apple has some surprises, but we won't really for sure until the keynote.
I hope so (but at the same time don't because it would tempt me and I an WEAK!). I don't think we have seen a surprise in well over half a decade now. At least not in terms of hardware.

You have an SE, 6s, and 6s+?

I'm curious, what do you do with three different phones with basically the same specs? I have three cases for my phone (none costing more than $15) and sometimes I feel Like that's unnecessarily extravagant! LOL.

It came about differently. The 6s was a Sprint phone that got unlocked when I switched to T-Mobile. The 6s Plus I got when I switched to T-Mobile and thought I wanted to keep the plus. Then I decided I wanted an SE when they finally got a few in stock.

It's quite overkill... Yes. Especially now since I've pretty much decided I'm staying with this SE at least until the 7 comes...

I skipped the 5s and the 6 and went from a 5 to a 6s.

Not everyone has to have the latest and greatest. The 6s won't become and awful phone the day after the 7 is released. I won't even think about upgrading until the 7s. And I probably won't bother then either.

I learnt going from the 3GS to the 4 (although I do admit I adored the iPhone 4 it's the phone that hooked me) the 4s and 4s to the 5 that actually, there's zero real world difference. The 5 had the screen bump but besides that side by side with the 4s it worked exactly the same.

So I left it and then I went from the 5 to the 6s and was super happy about the speed increase and new features. Where as before I was always underwhelmed and ended up realising that basically, I'd bought the same phone twice. So I decided to stop doing that. I held on to the 5 until I felt there was an upgrade with my £620.

Don't assume everyone iPhone owner has to have every iPhone the instant it's released.

since the iPhone keeps getting more expensive in Europe I am gonna skip this one for sure. I just can't justify spending over 850€ on a minor update. it's not even about specs but iOS 10 just doesn't offer anything to update from an iPhone 6.

phone updates are becoming as pointless as an iPad refresh every year imo. no need to update unless u want to show off the latest

I skipped the 5s, the 6, the 6s and the SE.

If the 7 doesn't come in a 4" version with at least 128GB, I’ll skip that one, too.

In all honestly I'd not have got the 6s if I knew 100% that the SE would be released 6 months later.

It's not that I don't like the 6s, I love it I just prefer the smaller screen. But with Apple you never know for sure until the key note what's being released so I just thought screw this and got the 6s. Because I could just as easily have been still sat here with the 5 waiting for a refresh of the 4" iPhone.

I buy my phones outright so once I've enough back in the pot for an SE I'll trade the 6s in. But I'm in no hurry, I do love the 6s, I just find it a bit too big.

I'm hoping for some sort of seperate chip that will interface with Apples wearables, like a second Bluetooth of sorts that's tuned to the watch and the watch will have the same chip and they'll be able to piggy back off each other with no lag at all

I plan to hold onto my beloved headphone jack as humanly possible, and maybe even a little longer. Or at least until I buy a car with bluetooth capability, which is god only knows how many years in the future. I keep my cars forever, and neither one of them has it. And adapters that require a USB plug or recharging are a major pain in the behind.

I think I'm already there, I mainly use my Bluetooth earbuds and my car has Bluetooth audio, I think we'll see a few small lightning to jack dacs come out of the rumours are true, so you'll get better sound anyway

Let's be real :)

Just about everyone here on this forum will watch the Keynote that Tuesday, live or afterwards, watch highlights of it, decline to purchase it the following Wednesday (too similar to the 6S, the 6 they own still works great, etc), start to think about how great it is on Thursday, and end up pre-ordering it on Friday.

I've seen this pattern on this Forums. The 7 will be sold-out and many on this forum will have it in hand 2 weeks after it's announced.

It's just funny to me reading these posts saying they won't purchase it without yet having seen the actual product's presentation and it's features, just molds and cases.

Especially funny because we all know what's going to end up happening in the end. ;)

Always buy the new and sell the old here.

I won't skip iPhone 7 if...

1. They remove the home button
2. Metal rear since the glass rear returns next year
3. Space black option to hide the lines
4. Water-resistant

The last one might be the reason that pushes me over the edge to get in iPhone after six years. And we finally might get 32 GB as the base option. Not a fan of burn-in OLED and glass-rears. The 10th anniversary iPhone might turn out more Samsung Galaxy S7 than a real iPhone update.

Shut up and take my money if it comes in space black, water-resistant, and nomore physical home button...

The iPhone 7 could be slept on while hyping up next year's model which could end up not living up to its hype.

I'm skipping because I am under 2 year contract. Definitely getting the 7S or whatever the 2017 iPhone will be called

I remember thinking to myself back in 2010 and 2012 that my next iPhone will be iPhone 7. I remember thinking that because I felt 4 and 7 are my favorite numbers and the iPhone 5 didn't wow me in 2012. Now it might finally come true. The first iPhone I truly want to use for years without thinking of selling right away since the iPhone 4.

The more I read about rumors and waiting out for the 10th anniversary iPhone for next year for being too Samsung-like with a glass rear, OLED, and us might being stuck with that design for the next three years, the more I would rather get the iPhone 7. But like I said before, it needs to have this checked for me to reconsider using iPhone as my daily driver again...

1. Water resistance since it rains alot where I live.
2. Space black option to subdue the rear lines.
3. Nomore physical home button that wears out.
4. The 32gb should be the base model.
5. Metal rear over anything glass.

I plan on getting the 32gb base model since two of my cheap Androids have fanastic battery life, inserted cheap $20 64gb into them, and MX Player can play AVI and MKV formats while an iPhone can't. Only plan to store my music and photos first which takes up about 10 GB.

I use three sims in a rotation of five phones but I will make iPhone 7 one of the phones with a sim. One sim for Android, WP, and iOS. Got all my platforms covered. Since there is no such thing as the perfect phone or mobile OS, each of them covers each other's deficiencies and standout with their strengths.

Not really jumping up and down for another stupid "smart"phone especially something as basic as an iPhone when I have been a cerebral user with Android for nearly five years. But why the hell not? Let me get an iPhone 7 and fulfill my personal prophecy to myself six years ago...

32 GB / Space Black
Water-resistant with metal rear
Nomore physical home button!

I have the iPhone 6 Plus and skipped the 's' model as it didn't bring enough new to the table to warrant the cost. I buy sim free at full Retail price.

If the iPhone 7 does not ✔️ my wants and needs boxes then I'll be considering taking some time away from iPhones and possibly look to the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge.

I jumped ship from a 6 Plus and went with the s7 edge. This is the best move I have ever made and the nicest phone I have ever had except for maybe the original iPhone. This thing is light years ahead of what Apple is offering now and they had better do something drastic if they want money out of me for phones again.

I just couldn't wait until 2017 for those sexy curves. Android seems to have surpassed Apple now in some ways. The Android app store doesn't suck like it used to either, there is most anything you want in it now.

Before everybody gets all snarky about don't let the door hit you... I still use a Mac...

The s7 edge is a beast and every review on the planet suggests that fact. FWIW I have tried Android every couple of years or so and this is the first time I have encountered a true iPhone killer on the market. I am actually shocked that after a few days I am not utterly disappointed as usual.

See what Apple brings in 2017 but if it is just a curved glass phone from three years ago there will be trouble brewing. Also they had better do something with their computer line because I need a new one and am beginning to wonder what else is out there, I don't think I am alone here. People only have so much patience and it is beginning to become difficult even for a die hard fan such as myself to justify the prices for what is offered.

I really like my iPhone 6s. My "work friend" has an s7 edge, so I've played around with it. At the end of the day, it's an okay phone Samsungs best to date, but I wouldn't give up my 6s for it.

I like my 6s as my daily driver. It just works. For everything else I have my sp4.

A capacitive home button is actually very important to me and I will be saying good riddance to that stupid physical home button found on all previous iPhones. Nomore worries of it becoming unresponsive and having dirt inside it which make it sticky from our sweaty fingers.

2017 iPhone might be the one Apple wants us to wait for with their Samsung Galaxy S7-like iPhone. OLED v LCD, check out which display technology last longer. Glass back vs metal back? Metal for me even though I expect a different color underneath the space black if it is scratched reminiscent of the slate black iPhone 5 I sold last year for $200. Oh well. I take care of all my phones anyway.

I think the 2016 iPhone 7 is the one to get, folks. Especially if you are like me and don't uses cases or screen protectors and who don't want an all-glass enclosure with their phones. We could be stuck with our Samsung Galaxy S7 iPhone design until 2020. After owning OLED for my Nexus One, Samsung Focus, and PS Vita. Extremely overrated tech. Oversaturated. Cartoony.

I prefer the tock "s" year for the refinements but it seems the tick year is the one to go for this year especially if the rumored all-glass and OLED holds true for next year's iPhone. Apple will drop the numerics next year and just call it iPhone with the first year of its revamp. What iPhone 7 is to the 6 series in refined design and specs is what the SE was for the 5 series.

I'm hoping apple doesn't return to all-glass; unless it's all gorilla glass. Way too fragile.

It's a conundrum about the size. After owning a 6s for a few months I find its too big and 5s is too small. apple needs a size in between. I can't imagine how people cope with the 6s+ daily.

I think the iphone 7 to the iphone 6 is going to be like the iphone 5 to the iphone 4.

And I hope(Nay pray) apple doesn't go for a 2017 pentile display. My eyes "hate" those displays. Maybe apple has something in store for us.

Before being forced to upgrade i had a small flip phone for 14 years, then it was a iPhone 4 then a Android Samsung III then back with my present rented iPhone6. so far it does everything i need and the battery life is super good.
At the end of my sprint contract i can up grade to the 7 if it's around, or just buy my rented phone for $200, then my Monthly charge will be $55.

The answer to the perfect display size may be the 4.7" w/reduced bezels and no home button.

Will that be in the the 2017 model? Let's hope so.
