Evolutive Labs' Newest Case on Kickstarter: SolidSuit

Anyone have a playproof that's ordered one of these? Specially the carbon fibre?

I'd love to see some pictures of iPhones in the playproof cases or these new ones when they arrive. I'm interested in picking up a playproof or a solid suit but I can't make up my mind.

I'll be reviewing the SolidSuit cases for the 6s Plus very soon...and will of course compare them to the PlayProof, which I've already reviewed. So far, I can only comment on the HoneyComb, which is really nice. It is less slippery than the PlayProof and the frosted clear appearance is really nice on a Rose Gold iPhone. I will receive a second package from Evolutive Labs tomorrow...

Awesome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Kristin. I enjoy your reviews and am looking forward to these ones. Which other cases do you have coming? The carbon fiber by any chance?

Awesome stuff. Please include a shot of how thick the lip is that wraps around the perimeter. I can’t tell how much it sticks out to protect the screen
 
So is the only difference between these new ones and the playproof the materials on the back and the different ring around the camera cutout? Are they otherwise the same case?
 
So I got the Solid Suit today. There are some good and some serious negatives.

The feel of the case is excellent. It is the PlayProof with grip. However, it does not fit as tight at the bottom as the PlayProof does. Also, the metallic ring around the camera is odd and a little too shiny for me. Also, the greatly enlarged the camera opening. Almost Tech 21 size. Also, there is a definite seam where there have been reported separations with the PlayProof. I imagine, if this is taken on and off frequently, it will break with ease.

Not sure if I am going to use this or not. Might just put it on eBay

Got mine today and love it. I have both and this is the playproof with grip and definitely my new daily case. It's a very tight fit so probably not a good case for somebody who will change a car daily but if you are a set it and forget it go for it.

Curious, what will you go back to? Playproof with grip was what you were e looking for? Is a larger cameras hole that big of a deal? How bad s the bottom protection?

Who knows is the separation was a bad batch on someone's device. They will warranty, no?

I currently have the solid suit on. Will give it a shot over this long weekend. I am definitely a little disappointed, as it's not as solid as the PP imo.

The camera hole issue is just an aesthetic preference, so it's definitely more me than the case. 🙂

You get leather or carbon fiber? Does this thing have like serious more grip or marginally better
 
I have the black leather and imo it's a substantial increase. I had an evutec and this is the same level of grip as that case, sort of a rubbery type feel.

So, it just wasn't for me. I have it listed on eBay presently for $29.99 if anyone is interested 🙂
 
Hi guys. Here's my SolidSuit and HoneyComb review for the iPhone 6s Plus versions. I really like this case in its Leather Look SolidSuit and its HoneyComb versions. I'm less impressed with the Carbon Fiber Look SolidSuit due to its extremely slippery feel. However, with the Leather Look SolidSuit (and with the HoneyComb, to a lesser extent), RhinoShield has basically come out with a grippy, more professional looking version of the PlayProof. There is a lot to love here!

Anyone received their blue SS yet ? Does the blue leather SS have a 2-tone shade to the front and back of the case ? Something like playproof?
 
I had them cancel my order that included the blue and divide my codes up so I could make a separate order. My black leather shows shipped today.

I am holding on to my other codes for the Iphone 7
 
I got my black leather for 6s and love it. The feel is great and the button is easier to press compared to playproof.

I do however find a lip a bit less than the playproof though, not sure if it is just me.

Watched the review and one thing I'd like to hear more about is how hard it is to remove the case? I'm someone that needs to remove a case maybe once or twice a week. Not a lot, but a case that's difficult to remove won't work for me. Thanks.

Hi Paco! I don't find the SolidSuit hard to remove--again, if you are familiar with the fit of the PlayProof, the SolidSuit is pretty much the same...
