I wondered that too. However, just because the pursuers disappeared from Strand's radar, doesn't mean they left the area altogether. They might have gone further out into open sea to await their presumed shoving off again.I don't see why by pulling up to an island, that they would lose their pursuers
We could also look at it, that the followers may not have radar at all and could be pursuing by sight. That might explain why they could have hid in the area they did.
Or they could have a radar system that doesn't have a very long range and they could have lost them. But I have a feeling we are going to see them in the up coming episodes so we will know soon enough!!!!
Watching/listening to Chris Jericho on Talking Dead was awesome! So funny!
Since you mention it, I have a feeling Strand won't be long for the show unless he learns to compromise just a little bit. Even Rick compromises on occasion when pressured enough. The group may not tolerate Strand's hard line stance for too much longer and either eliminate him, or part ways.I am beginning to have serious questions about our boat captain.
I have a feeling that Strand's position of power will be threatened once Abigail ceases to be viable.Since you mention it, I have a feeling Strand won't be long for the show unless he learns to compromise just a little bit.
Right. It will be interesting to see what transpires between him and the group when they arrive at Strands mysterious rendezvous.I have a feeling that Strand's position of power will be threatened once Abigail ceases to be viable.

If they (who?) were following the Abigal, I assume with radar, I don't see why by pulling up to an island, that they would lose their pursuers.
They should have pulled out their binocular and looked behind them.Further puzzling is that Strand stated the other boat was faster. I guess it's time to just let it go and move on.

They would theoretically look like a part of the island to the radar (i.e. the island would mask them).

They were out of visual range.
The other boat was only 6 MPH (5 kts) faster then their boat. It looks like the typical (non military) range (depending on target composition, the height of the radar, the power of the radar, and the height/size of the target) of a boat mounted radar could be pretty far. It would have been hours before the other boat could be within visual range.
The general range formula.
Yea, but they just drove up to the island and parked or it looked that way. If the boat following them, did not find them, instead I guess it choose to head in another direction instead of going to the island.

Thank You FTWD for showing us why you trust no strangers in a post apocalyptic world.![]()
It's interesting/sad how quickly the civilized world turns to that.It has taken them a while but hopefully this one sinks in! Was kinda shocked at our Captains back story and then listening to him on Talking Dead. He is a very interesting person both his character and him in general.

Right, unfortunately that's the case. And unfortunately it likely wouldn't even take something as bad as a zombie epidemic to get to that level, as likely a fairly prolonged loss of electricity and/or water would lead to noticeable instances of something along that path. For the sake of argument, this is who the human species is just under the surface when survival is at stake, much of being civilized is just a thin veneer a luxury, that will be discared if it can no longer be perceived to be afforded.
