Same, not interested in the other game as much.I have Japan-Spain on in the background while I work from home. I looked at it and was 1-0 Spain. I turn my back for 5 minutes to work, look again, and it's 2-1 Japan.
You're missing out. (;Same, not interested in the other game as much.
Tomorrow, however, I'll probably be watching both matches at the same time, big players, big games!
I have no choice in the matter, the Wife is watching her stuff on the other TV, although this is a lame excuse because I can watch it on my phone too, but eh, just don't feel it, watching the highlight on BBC sport.You're missing out. (;
Well, after all of that, the U.S. is the only one to advance. The class of Concacaf, I suppose.
Germany is out!! Yea!!
Wow.Hell ya!
Couldn't agree more. And they called a great game. Well done.And I am delighted, by the way, to see a female referee officiating at a World Cup match, the vastly experienced Stéphanie Frappert, from France, in what is an historic first. (She had already served as one of the assistant referees, during the earlier Mexico v Poland match).
In fact, the entire refereeing team for this match was female, also a first, which I am also delighted to see.
Thanks, I am just heading home and I just saw the game just ended, I am happy SKorea won and got through to the finals.@rain111, hopefully you got to see South Korea's winner. I've been watching the other game. The look on Luis Suarez's face when he saw South Korea had scored was priceless.
Someone will probably come up with conspiracy theoriesSouth Korea's winner was so reminiscent of Belgium's winner against Japan in the previous World Cup. Maybe stick to short corners so close to full time? Not that Portugal particularly cared in this case.
Ghana must be ruing the missed opportunity — the wind totally went out of their sails with the missed penalty, but they got a modicum of revenge in helping knock out Uruguay.
I've been enjoying the drama and outright chaos of these 3rd round games.
