Just took delivery of mine. Fit like glue in my ears and definitely sound better than standard AirPods.

I had slight issues with initial connection, restarted phone, cleared connection from BT settings, added again, work perfectly.

Really good work here Apple, nailed it.

Gotta feel sorry for the people that have $1500+ computers and $160 AirPods and can't afford an adapter to connect the two. So sad....

Gotta feel sorry for the people that spent $1500+ on computer and $160 on AirPods and have to pay even more for the two things to match. So sad....

Connection is great and wow call quality is good. Very loud and clear to hear the other person and great for them too.

Did your store open early today? I know during holidays Apple opens at 8am local time and not 10 but since your in new york its 7am est for you right now, correct?

Trying to get an idea of when I should try my local store. I'm in CST so an hour off from you

After reading through 5 of the 4773847 pages of comments (made up of 70% trolling and 30% genuine goodness), I couldn't locate anyone that had done a vigorous test with running or some other form of body shaming exercise. Yes, I can't be arsed reading through the hate and love as it irks me greatly so, in closing, how do these suckers go when it comes to running etc? Very interested in reading about it (even with a video someone else posted last week of a guy doing a small run up and down a ramp shaking his head in some demented fashion with them not falling out).

Grand Central opens at 7AM. Earliest in the country (other than 5th Ave which is open 24 hours).

BTW: they satisfied the whole line (75+) and still have more sitting around!

Not sure how it will be in the rest of the country though :)

Damn had I gone in to work today I would have walked right by there and probably snagged a pair, but I'm off the rest of the year and my bed is too cozy and warm right now

Check a few pages back

Somebody did a 10K run and somebody in the iPhone accessory Forum U.K. AirPods thread did a 5k and was great in the ears

Ah that makes sense. Thank you. Not living in NY anymore makes me forget how busy grand central is this time in the morning. Only makes sense Apple opens this early.

I hope my local store has some

Its par for the course and how things have always been. Why would you want to charge your earpods with your macbook when you likely have a million other things you could plug it into, including battery packs, which all tend to have USB-A. It makes no sense for them to include a USB-C cable at all.

It might do in a few years though.. Depends on whether USB-C charging blocks take off..

I'm sorry but this is absurd by Apple's logic regarding the new MBP move to exclusive USB-C. If this "common sense" approach was valid they would have left at least one or two USB-A ports around (as you likely have a million USB-A peripherals lying around). At the very least I'd say Apple doesn't have a unified vision of hardware integration across lines.

Your $2,500 laptop was a courageous mistake, which will be courageously corrected in 2017.

Apple is not known to backtrack. They may include adapters with the 2017's, yeah maybe. But don't expect any of the ports to change back.

Sadly I don't have a new MPB yet, but surely they could offer two versions so you can choose which cable suits you best? (even if only online)

Yes, Apple could have. Please refer to Option 3 in Post #165 of this thread which explains why that is a bad solution.

Of the four options Apple had before them, they chose the one that has enabled billions of potential customers the ability to charge their just-purchased AirPods, without any fuss, as soon as they're unboxed.

Still, it should be pointed out, again, that any of the four options chosen by Apple would be greeted by some here with entitled faux outrage and indignation, and, of corse, tiny whimpers of Cook must go along with, "Wah... Apple doesn't care about their customers, wah...," all served up with a triple- shot of juvenile froth-worthy and crowd-pleasing emoji, courage, and dongle pablum.

I was really on the fence about these when they were announced (the pricing didn't help - $219CAD) but after reading the mostly very positive early user reviews I'm all in. Unfortunately Apple.ca is showing 6 weeks to ship. Hoping Apple stores in Canada will have these on hand.

A cool new feature which makes apple watch better is that you can answer a phone call on the apple watch and continue the conversation via the airpods so that other people nearby can't hear the person on the other end.

Unfortunately before when you answered a call on the apple watch, the call was via the apple watch speaker and so everyone around you could hear the person on the other end. Airpods have solved that problem.

I just tried this out and it works pretty well.

Excellent discovery - thanx for sharing!

They apparently stay in very well.

Having just bought some I can tell you that they aren't falling out even when shaking my head. I had my wife try them on and told her to try to shake them out and she couldn't.

They are super light... and there are no cords pulling on them so they don't move.

BTW: I'm pretty impressed with the sound quality. Not as good as my Beats Studio Wireless (which are great but not amazing themselves) but DEFINITELY better than standard EarPods.
