Yep... if u'r using a case (like I do) I won't even notice.

Bands still on the rear, but no longer at the top like my iphone 6 across the back.

Don't know why people complain about the visible wireless lines. First thing anyone does when they get a new phone is put it in a protective case.

I don't get this. Either buy a plus or use a battery case. Making thinner phones, gives flexibility because people who don't need more battery, have a lighter phone and people who need more can do so.

You can't make a phone thinner/lighter as a consumer.

+1 for a battery case, don't ruin it for those of us who like thin phones, which judging the way every manufacturer is going is just about everyone. Even thin though I was always impressed with the 6s+ battery life, I could use the heck out of it and still get home and have 60% left. The 6s+ was thinner than my Note 5, but got much better battery life.

The photoshop work on this isn't too great =/

But the flush camera sounds awesome.

$1000 or a 2 year contract for a flush camera, no lines and a very moderate CPU upgrade. They would really be scraping the bottom of the barrel here. That would be worse than a 'S' upgrade.

I know it's only a mock up... :p

They better have a lot more up their sleeves than just a flush camera and no bands. 90% people use a case anyways so those "features" dont matter at all.

Does anyone really care about antenna bands and a flush camera that much? I don't. My case covers it all up anyway.

Apple needs to be thinking, "what can we do that's so significant that people will leave Android in droves and arrest the impending decline in sales of iPhones?" It's time for another revolutionary leap, akin to the original iPhone...

I know, I know, easier said than done.

If people didn't care they would be fine buying a Motorola or Samsung product. It all matters.

Apples and Oranges (if you'll pardon the expression).

Yes, I buy Apple partly for the aesthetic. I primarily buy, however, because of the experience of using the device, the cross-device/OS integration, all that. It would be unreasonable of me to expect that every single design iteration of the iPhone was the 'perfect' combination of aesthetic qualities with never any aspect I didn't like. I wasn't a fan of the convex plastic backs of the 3G series for example. But something as minor as antennae bands I just don't see as being a distraction for serious people. I can't feel them with my hands when I handle the device, I rarely look at the back of my phone (the 'business end' is the front, after all), and even when I do ... so what?

I understand some people would prefer to have a uniform color across every square millimeter of the rear surface; no problem there, but it seems like such a minor thing, even for people with that expectation. I never understood the sheer level of consternation that came along with the bands.

Nobody cares about the antenna bands or the lens. Apple accomplished great reception with an all-metal body with only minimal exterior bands. That's a great engineering feat. Granted, if this is true, it's an even greater technical feat. However, it's a stretch to say the current design has problems. It is the most well designed phone currently in existence.

If you think that's all it will bring I have a bridge to sell you

It seems so in vogue to criticize Apple's design at the moment. But I honestly have yet to see a better designed phone with all the hopes and dreams and battery life wants that people want. I think there are definitely cleaner designs out there, but those designs sacrifice other things.

For a massed produced product, the iPhone 6 & 6s are still a marvel in industrial design. I don't see anything better on the market today.

I know I'll be excited when I see the new design, but will be disappointed when I find out there's no headphone jack and battery life will be the same.

thinner???!?

ugh. Enough, already, Apple. I miss the old days of my awesome iPhone 4 with flat sides, a substantial, quality feel, and thickness that was just right. Oh well, if you can't think of anything else to improve, "let's make it thinner!" always works, plus you get the added feature of less room for battery!

In my humble opinion, the iPhone 7 is essentially an evolved version of the iPhone 6 design (just like the iPhone 5 was an evolved version of the iPhone 4 design), but adds the following features:

1. No more Home button. There will be a "virtual" Home button on the bottom center of the touchscreen, and the bottom fifth of the touchscreen will become one big Touch ID fingerprint sensor area.

2. The new A10 system on a chip (SoC) will still be dual-core but with a lot more generous cache RAM and more efficient CPU internals. RAM memory will now be 4 GB standard.

3. Touchscreen may go to sapphire glass for the first time, unless Apple uses something like the successor to Corning's Gorilla Glass 4.

4. Resolution of touchscreen will not change compared to the iPhone 6 or 6+.

5. 3D Touch may get some minor enhancements compared to now.

6. Internal storage will be available 32, 64 and 128 GB versions.

7. Front image sensor may sport slightly higher resolution; rear image sensor will have its lens element flush against back of the case, with LinX dual-lens rear sensors on both the iPhone 7 and 7+ models.

8. Improved Lightning connector for sure, possibly with USB 3.0 connection speeds.

9. May or may not keep the 3.5 mm headphone connector (this will likely be decided by the end of February 2016).

In short, at first glance it may not look much different than the iPhone 6, but closer inspection reveals some major hardware changes.

I'm actually with you, and my iPhone 6 is still holding strong, I might just sit this one out and enjoy the savings for the next 2 years, until iPhone 8 is out

Christ not that bar of soap shape again, I don't know anyone that actually likes the shape. I just cannot see them doing that again.

No redesign? But but but, I want everybody to know I have the new iPhone...

Not sure what's wrong with that. I know plenty of people who gets new a car every year or every couple of years, just based on looks. I don't want people to know that I have a new phone, I just simply want a new toy for myself. Not sure about the sarcasm? And quite frankly, of all the thing to spend money on, getting a $650+ phone every two years is probably on the bottom of the adult toy list.

I really don't like the look of the flush camera. Ive gotten used the the camera bump on my 6+ and doesn't bother me. Also I hope there is an actual redesign in the works. Its been done every two years since the original iPhone. I want everyone to know right away that I have the new iPhone.

Thicker and bigger battery pls.

Oh wait.

That's not gonna happen because thinner = aesthetic, right? And Apple is all about aesthetic?

Silly.
