These leaks are getting earlier and earlier, at this rate there won't be any surprises left for September. I don't see Apple changing the shape of the iPhone, there ain't really much more they can do. I don't mind it getting thinner it will make it lighter and easier to put into pockets (especially for the 7 Plus).

Although the current protruding camera offers some of the look of a dedicated camera, I don't like that it creates an un-flat back when I set the phone down, as I worry that it will either scratch what I set it on (on my iPad Air or rMBP when trying to carry both at the same time) or that I'll scratch the lens or ring on the iPhone.

So getting it back inside the iPhone and flush with the back would be a preferred change with the 7. Beyond that, further improvements to the strength and moving to a more water resistant chassis would be welcome. But what I would really like Apple to do is to kill off the wired headset and its old-school connection and figure out a better wireless headset solution. Forget the Beats headsets - they're crap design-wise and what I consider to be a bad investment on their part. They need to design an elegant, long-lift battery, high quality sound BT or Airplay headset that will move people away from the corded headsets that feel like a connection to the original iPod (and not in a good way).

They better have a lot more up their sleeves than just a flush camera and no bands. 90% people use a case anyways so those "features" dont matter at all.

So you're saying those "features" do matter to the "only" 6-7 million people / quarter that buy a new iPhone...

Apples philosophy seems to be make it thin then thicker and then even thinner then the first one.

Happened with iPad to iPad 4, 6 to 6S,

Nobody cares about the antenna bands or the lens. Apple accomplished great reception with an all-metal body with only minimal exterior bands. That's a great engineering feat. Granted, if this is true, it's an even greater technical feat. However, it's a stretch to say the current design has problems. It is the most well designed phone currently in existence.

Again: "Nobody" cares? If that was a true statement there wouldn't be anyone complaining about it on this very website!

I could care less about antenna bands, but I would prefer a flush camera. And yes, I use my iPhone without a case.

Yes, flush rear camera....Mr. Ive fixed his symmetrical blunder :D[/QUOTE]

That camera bump was perfect for attaching accessory camera lenses.

Does the protruding camera really bother that many people? I mean I guess I'm not bothered by it because my phone is always in a case, but still

Same for antenna bands really

Yes I hate both, and mine isn't in a case.

I use my phone naked, and I never once have thought, "damn that protruding lens"!

Really? I do all the time.

As soon as you put a case on your phone, the non flush camera doesn't matter anyway. So I don't care really flush or not.

The biggest reason why I stayed with my iPhone 5 (even though the iPhone 4 looked the best really), the protruding camera and the antenna lines. Looks like I'll finally be able to upgrade.

I'd prefer leave a protruding camera, but fit more into it. Making the module smaller is kinda counter effective if you just shove it in the phone.

I miss the the iPhone 4/4s back glass design. So much cleaner than those plastic antenna bands...
I agree. I am still using the 4 (with no cover). The design and weightiness in the hand is impressive.
