That looks so huge in the hands... Is it suffaire crystal glass? I would definitely bang that on my doors or walls unintentionally hope it survives...
After a month I scratched the face of mine in the pool underwater. I was not happy!

Two things that need to change before I consider an Apple Watch:

LTE Marking: I still don't like the LTE ring on the watch crown. It really detracts from the watch's minimalism.

Siri. Make her useful again. Otherwise, there is little gain in functionality over a normal watch.

I feel like I am less stressed about notifications now, after getting the Series 3 in spring. I can quickly glance at the watch and see if it's important, then ignore most of it. When I didn't have the watch, I would feel the taptic engine tap/hear the chime, take my phone out of the pocket, realize it wasn't important, then open Facebook, because you know, I already have the phone out of my pocket, so might as well... etc. etc. Much less usage of the phone now :)

That's exactly my experience with the Watch.
I only let some apps forward notifications on my Watch, basically is just phone calls, Mail, iMessage and Whatsapp.
I usually take a quick look at the notifications and dismiss them, I don't read an entire email on the Watch just check the subject and a couple of lines to see if it is important. If I take out the phone to answer I usually spend more time with it even after dealing with the notification.

First of all, the 44mm does look too big on these wrists, IMO. Also, I have a series 3 and have been pretty impressed with Siri on it (unless I have annoying connectivity issues when I'm too far away from my phone, but not far enough for it to switch to Wifi or cellular). It hears me pretty damn well.

“Having previously used a Series 1 model, Reddit user KaiiXiang in Singapore said they were "really blown away" by the new watch's screen and responsiveness, although they noted that Siri "still sucks" since it's "either slow or fails to pick up what I say most of the time.”

I think it’ll be a while longer before Siri can pick up Singlish. :p

I'm incredibly happy with mine! Very quick into the store, served very quickly, and the whole unboxing was a delight!

I'm glad you're happy with the watch, I'm waiting for mine (couple more weeks). But, when did 'delight' slide into the Apple cult dictionary. I'm hearing it everywhere, along with 'whimsical'? Seems forced and very strange to me.

With Apple Watch Series 4 models wending their way to Apple customers in the United States and many other countries today, some people have already picked up their orders and are sharing their first impressions of the new smartwatch online.

Apple Watch Series 4 owners on Reddit and the MacRumors forums appear to be particularly impressed by the larger screen and redesigned chassis.

Reddit user bluebear74 said that "coming from a S0 to S4 is amazing," and expressed surprise at the amount of information the bigger screen is able to display: "There's so many complications I don't know what to do with them all!"

Having previously used a Series 1 model, Reddit user KaiiXiang in Singapore said they were "really blown away" by the new watch's screen and responsiveness, although they noted that Siri "still sucks" since it's "either slow or fails to pick up what I say most of the time."

MacRumors forum member Jasonstevens said his new Series 4 "looks/feels amazing," although he found the haptic feedback on the Digital Crown less impressive: "It feels like it's just tapping my wrist not my finger."

Reddit user DisHowWeDo, who has small wrists (170mm) and had never owned an Apple Watch before, said they were "REALLY worried the 44mm would look huge on me," but ultimately found it to be "flipping perfect" and "definitely the right size."

Likewise, MacRumors forum member Suxamethonium was a little worried about the 44mm size when looking at it in the Apple Store app, but he now felt it was "pretty much perfect" for an average man's wrist. He also commented that the new watch faces "make much better use of all that real estate."

Perhaps surprisingly, several customers appear to have been caught off guard by the color of the Gold stainless steel Series 4 model, with one Reddit user calling it "quite pink... Like a rose gold." Another said they expected it to be a lot more gold and felt a bit disappointed, although they were "sticking with it," while MacRumors forum member defn felt the color "goes surprisingly well with a lot of watch bands."

I want one so badly. Apple Store is showing mid October delivery, Best Buy is showing Tuesday delivery. Do I pull the trigger? Decisions , decisions.

The watch looks nice. But I’m still not moved to buy one...

Just don’t want tech on my wrist. My phone bothers me enough when it goes off throughout the day, the thought of adding yet another device to deliver notifications gives me a headache lol
I returned four Apple watches, never would get the point. Then one day I was in the bathroom in the can, and a call came in. It was great. I could hear great. Then one day I left the iPhone at home and spent all day on the phone with the watch. The battery just made it but I did work the whole day, messages, emails, calls, weather.

Sometimes pulling out the phone is too much, but a quick glance at one's watch is socially acceptable. Often times on the go I see the message and answer it with the wheel selecting a menu item.

Now I get it. It is still a product that is finding itself, but at times it is essential. Do you know where your iPhone is when you are in the can? And with the AirPods the battery lasts a long time.

I predict in 5 or 10 years more people will only have a watch rather than a phone. The watch needs a charger from the movement of the body, or the warmth, or the WiFi fields, etc.

Yeah this doesn’t sell it for me. I think the series 4 looks beautiful.

But I’m not in the can long enough to justify my purchase lol..

And I love my iPhone. The last thing I would do is leave that at home in place of a smart watch. It’s just not something I would do.

I use my phone while in the car too (car play).

Phones are small enough now where you don’t need to lug a laptop around anymore.

I guess I’m just in the minority. Still don’t see the need for it.

Oh boy..that looks so artificial...almost comic like..I really wish apple went towards a realistic watch look. Instead they went the other extreme

Aaaargh!
I've had every generation of Apple Watch so far and I have always gone for the Black version but that photo is making me have second-thoughts about my AW4 Space Black order... it looks great in Steel with the large screen.

Lighting maybe deceptive. It’s actually aluminium

Love the color of the band. Is it a 44 or 40?

44

What color sports loop is that?

Seashell loop

If you exercise, the watch with LTE is a game changer. Leave your phone behind and workout and run unencumbered.

I've got a 44mm for me, and a 40mm for the missus. I had the series 2 before, she had a 38mm series 1.

Won't bother with the photo of the old 42mm vs 44mm as that's been done already. Below is my OLD series 2 42mm (black) vs the NEW 40mm.

As you can see, the new 40mm has a smaller form factor, but a very similar screen size to the previous, bigger watch. Missus is very happy. :)

Ya, I didnt try them on in person...I made paper mockups...went with the 44mm, but now I am concerned its gonna be huge. I guess I will see eventually (Best Buy no date yet.

Now this I could see being useful. Very good point.

I use a treadmill at home but even working out with basketball shorts and the phone sways everywhere.

I could totally see a watch being useful in this case, not to mention the health monitor benefits programmed into watch OS.
