Dispointed the one photo has the radio markings on it. Hope with the recent FCC requirement that they no longer have to be on the device that we won't have them since the demo unit in the keynote did not have them

really? are people really gonna play the card that "pink" is not biased towards a gender? If you honestly say that, you are a hypocrite in all the sense. So guess what "fellas". Dresses and skirts are nothing but "FABRIC". Why don't you wear a mini skirt and a halter top to the nearest bar with your pink phone, and tell them how much of a man you are!

Yes, really. A quick Google search will pull up a plethora of celebrity men wearing pink. So you're telling me that Elvis was a woman? Ashton Kutcher is a woman? Kanye West is a woman? John Wayne? David Beckham? Brad Pitt, Jamie Foxx, Chris Hemsworth, Snoop Dogg, etc... are all women because they wear pink? No, I'm not a hypocrite... nor is anyone who believes pink can be worn by men and blue can be worn by women. You, however, are amusing in attempting to construct some sort of imaginary case around fabric, skirts, and dresses. That was pretty entertaining :)

Really? You had to put "men" in quotes because of a pink phone? Why don't you go high-five Kim Davis and have a chicken sandwich from Chik-Fil-A while you're at it. It's 2015 and blue isn't synonymous with boy and pink isn't synonymous with girl. Wake up.

Easy. Just because somebody thinks pink is a woman's colour, doesn't mean they are the "other" things you are implying. Personally I think there are other reasons behind straight men choosing a pink phone - Peac*cking, they want something new, they want to show off... I think it's more than just liking pink.

For some reason your post made me remember this photo...:D

Maybe... but even if someone buys a rose gold, er... "pink"... iPhone just because of the color, there's nothing wrong with that :)

Back the "rose gold" I bought a fair amount of jewelry for my girlfriend and some of it was "rose gold" and yeah "rose gold" is PINK for sure. It's NOT for guys IMHO. Chicks dig it though.

Rose Gold (or Pink) is just a color, it doesn't matter of the person who bought it is male or female. I'd be more worried about the tendency for people to not use a sock or bumper on the device in wanting to show off the color, resulting in a lot more devices hitting the floor.

Considering 90% of 6s' will have a case, this entire topic is flame fodder. The vast majority decide if they want a White, or Black Screen. Apple should offer every color with a White or Black screen choice. However, it will never happen. :apple:

I promise you, no matter how many men you list wearing pink (all who are coincidentally entertainment celebrities who can probably wear see through vinyl overalls and still make a "statement"), I can shatter your comparison with the names of females that wear it DAILY.

Lets not lie to ourselves. This day and age, pink is effeminate. Maybe one day that will change. Hell, maybe one day there will be a third gender, and their color will be hunter green. Who knows? But I do know one thing, PINK = FEMININE in today's day and age.

Also, I really don't care what phone anyone gets. But I think its completely ludicrous that all computer chair philosophers rise from the woodworks, and ALL OF A SUDDEN start professing their beliefs that pink shouldn't be tied to a gender, just because they selected rose gold during preorder on an impulse!

Hey now.. David Beckham was caught wearing a thong during soccer practice, so I dunno.. :p

Ken Griffey, Jr. rocked a pink baseball bat during his career, and wore pink in his support for Breast Cancer Awareness. If that is, by your own words, FEMININE, he and I would wear that with pride each and every day for the rest of our lives.

But like I said in the other thread of yours (which ended up getting closed, BTW), men every day are already trying to overcome their own personal limiting beliefs. We sure as hell don't need to be limited by yours.

EDIT: I'm a bowler. have been one for 38 years. went through college on a 4-year scholarship for it. In my time bowling, I've had at least 4 bowling balls that were pink. Does that make me effeminate?

Wait, don't answer that. I don't want to submit myself to judgment from your limiting beliefs.

Had to jump into the fun with this one!

BECAUSE IM A POWER BOTTOM! Well, that and because I am of the percentage of men who just want people to know I have more money than they do; which in-turn allows me to have the newest and greatest! Simple.

I hope it's a true rose-gold color not some cheap imitation just to shut these joke comments down.

Or maybe its in the process of changing and you just haven't gotten the memo yet.

It doesn't make you effeminate, it made your ball effeminate.
If someone walked in that bowling alley, and oddly requested a "front and center" of anyone with a "feminine ball", then the entire alley would have looked at you. Period.

1. It wasn't a coincidence. I just didn't feel like naming off individuals I know like Edward Rowe or John Kost or Marty Kendrick who wear pink regularly because you wouldn't know them. You know who those celebrities are, so it was easier to name them off... not individuals you wouldn't know.

2. No, pink is a color, therefore it cannot be "effeminate", or as Webster's would put it... "having or showing characteristics regarded as typical of a woman". A color cannot show off "womanly" characteristics. Individuals, however, can hold onto antiquated stereotypes not consistent with the views of modern day society.

3. If you didn't care, you wouldn't have brought it up, and you wouldn't have asked in the manner in which you did... i.e., "men". Also, you don't have to get worked up about this discussion, it's simply a back and forth about color... not "ALL OF A SUDDEN". You asked a question, you got responses, you responded back... that's how a discussion works :) No need to get all... "rose gold"... under the collar, sweet thing. *mwah*

Thing is, they'll have to make the drive to get to it. In Oregon's example, the next closest store is in the Tacoma area. That's a 3 - 4 hour drive from Portland. Going south, Sacramento would be the next closest. 9 hour drive. They'd lose whatever profit they'd make in the gas and time to drive to get the phone, let alone lose the advantage of no sales tax.

But now, they'd have to pay the sales tax. Which in Washington's case, I want to say is 7.25% or 7.75%. This on top of still having to get to the store. By apple doing this, those in the Portland area lost all advantage.

BL.
Actually it's 9.5% in all the counties that have Apple Stores.

Pink isn't typically referred to as a masculine color. That's just a fact.

On the other hand, how much that fact matters to you is entirely your choice. Me personally, it doesn't bother me in the slightest if a guy wants a rose gold iPhone. It doesn't bother me if men wear pink shirts, etc.

Really, really silly thing to get worked up over.

Well, wandered over to the shop. The guy said they'd only sold two this morning, but he and two other staff members would be buying one today anyway. Looked ok. Took me a while to find it as they were still advertised as iPhone 6 - they didn't even have the right posters up!
