Tracking by reference (Apple order # minus the last two digits), UPS says my Xs is heading to Atlanta, GA. And yet I live in Los Angeles.

Called Apple today and they say they don’t have a tracking number yet for my shipment, but my delivery address is indeed correct (Los Angeles). What gives?

Friday everybody is happy

Saturday everything feels the same as the previous iphone but still your are telling yourself the money was spend well.

Sunday there is no difference at all when using your new phone compared to the old one except 1000 dollars is missing from your bank account ;)

Not sure if it's my age or what; but I'm just not as enthusiastic about this update as I normally would be. I be grudgingly placed an order for a max version, but I did so only because my 7+ has become a bit sluggish with the evolution of system updates. Hopefully the increased screen size will make it easier to navigate with my klutzy fingers.

Yeah, it must be your age. ;D Going from a 6S to a Max myself and the difference will undoubtedly be huge in screen size experience alone. Your 7+ is quite large to begin with so perhaps not such an extreme difference for you but the difference of OLED over LCD is quite dramatic.

XS Max 256 space gray. I have an in store pick up on 21st and credit card has been charged. Not as excited though. I don’t like the notch, Face ID and of course the price but don’t see myself going to android yet. I had to give up my 8 plus due to some issue and now stuck with a 6 that is dying a slow death.

The notch annoyance will fade within a week, for most. Though you should write into Apple to voice your opinion and I urge many others to do the same so that maybe Apple has more than enough feedback as well as sales dwindling this year to rid us of the notch in late 2019 iterations.

They have em in store when they first deliver.
No way is Apple gonna cannibalize it’s own XS max.

Should the XS Max cost more reletive to the sale price in various regions than the XS or XR, better believe they’ll cannibalize it. They could have more ship to say China than in North America as demographically and traditionally large screen smartphones have Always outsold there than in N. America or Europe - been like this since the Motorola UIQ Symbian bases phones, and Compaq PocketPC pda+phones.

Yea, totally. You are so unenthusiastic about it, you rushed to preorder one as soon as it was available and you are now hanging out in the thread for the pre-order shipments....

Based on my past experience of this week (the four business days before the Friday delivery), I'm thinking you might be freaking out the next couple days when there is no more movement of your new device. I'm guessing you think they are going to be shipping out in the next few hours.

In recent years my family's new iPhones sat at least several days after showing up in Shanghai on the UPS site before finally leaving China, seemingly so late that there was no way they could possibly make it on time for a Friday delivery to my house.

Before finally realizing Apple was a better seller of iPhones than ATT, after my order was canceled for no apparent or reported reason by ATT several days after the pre-orders, I got my phones shipping info from ATT late in the week and saw them delivered from California or Texas.

The first few years with Apple I was definitely concerned that there was something wrong when UPS My Choice showed my delivery several days before they got possession of them, then they sat for days after that initial report. Finally they moved and landed in Anchorage on their way to finally arrive into Louisville sometime after midnight on Friday. Soon after that they were on plane to the local UPS airport, and then on the truck to my house on Friday morning for an afternoon delivery.

All that excitement and then the real excitement of opening the box and setting up the new phone!

Hope that gives you a bit more ease over the next few days. It is an amazing performance!
It does thanks! Since I just woke up and noticed that yup it has still not shipped out as of yet. Even after my initial post! Can’t wait till Friday!

My orders are still showing in progress. Nonetheless, I will receive them when I do. Truthfully, it’s not about for me when I actually receive the item, it’s when I actually get to use it, this year being Apple Watch really has me excited to see the physical changes and new health aspects.

Trust.. this happens every year the tracking numbers darts all over the place. Your tracking number will be part of a massive container so they travel all over dropping shipments.

I guess I should not be surprised Xs Max and AW are shipping from different spots in China both started moving yesterday

I don't understand my Apple watch shows preparing to ship and has not updated yet with a tracking number .Once I check my CC statements it says pending .When will Apple remove to money?

You should try the new iOS12 first before buying the XS, because this thing makes your iPhones fly!

Does anyone on here order through Verizon? I did but I didn't get up early to order, I ordered that Friday the 14th at 3pm. It said estimated to ship around Sept 21st. I still haven't been charged yet and I'm starting to worry I won't get it Friday.

I'm just wondering if anyone who ordered through Verizon on Friday if it said estimated to ship or did it say deliver by the 21st.

The reason I worry is I will be out of town next week. I'm starting to wonder if I should cancel my order and just try Friday going into Verizon to see if they have any 256 GB gold XS Max available!

Does anyone have a trick to find the tracking number of an order I placed on ATT.com? Rather than ordering thru Apples website I used ATT and it just says “in progress”. I’m not worried, just curious. I have the UPS and FedEx app and neither of them show the iPhone tracking yet..... I’ve tried many different combos of my cell number, account number, order confirmation number, etc on UPS track by reference and haven’t gotten anything.
You won't until right before it ships. AT&T receives their iPhone stock in KY unassigned to anyone and then pairs them up with accounts before shipping them out. You might not get any tracking info before Wednesday. When I've ordered in the past it was sometimes even Thursday.

It's why most of us now order directly through Apple. The phone is assigned to us before it leaves China so shipping info shows up days before it even starts moving. Very reassuring :)

I ordered through VZW around 10am. Mine still says processing. But says delivered by the 21st.

idk but i have a 6s and i went from 10.3.3 to ios 12(yes i skipped ios11) and my 6s is even faster than before.
One thing i noticed though when i was on 10.3.3 my 6s became a little laggy when my storage was almost full, so i erased some photos and applications to free some space and my 6s went back to normal. Looks like ios uses free storage to speed up our devices

I really like this roll out of iPhone models, but no way can afford an upgrade, have to stick with 6plus for now and dream a little with everyone else's excitement :), however it's still going strong and IOS12 looks fab..

I was really hoping that FedEx would be delivering these.
FedEx is shipping my Xs, but I ordered through Verizon, not Apple. It actually shipped a couple days ago. But at the bottom, there's a big message in red letters stating "Per shipper instructions, package will not be delivered until the scheduled delivery date." :(

Apple started preparing the first iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders for shipment over the weekend, and now those orders have started shipping out to customers.

Apple has not yet updated order statuses from "Preparing to Ship" and likely will not do so until later this week when packages begin hitting their destination locations, but customers who pre-ordered a new device in the United States may be able to track their order using UPS tracking features.

iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders that are shipping via UPS in the United States are in transit and can be tracked using a UPS My Choice account or a reference number on the UPS website.

Customers with UPS My Choice accounts can visit the scheduled deliveries section of the website to see a list of Apple orders that are set to be delivered on Friday, which can be clicked to reveal full tracking details.

Tracking by reference requires a phone number and a zip code, or an order number minus the last two digits of the number. Many customers are already seeing their orders on the UPS website, but not every order has been transitioned to UPS as of yet.

Most orders right now are still in various parts of China, but should be departing for the United States and other countries in the near future.

Apple began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 on Friday, September 14 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time. By the time a half hour had passed, many iPhone XS Max models had sold out and were no longer available for launch day delivery.

iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders placed today will not ship out until October, but some models are still available for in-store pickup on September 21 in select stores. Retail stores are also expected to have supplies available for walk-in purchases on launch day.

Apple Stores, carrier locations like Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, and big box retailers like Best Buy and Target are likely to have the new products available for purchase on launch day in the United States.
