I think I messed up. I accidentally changed my shipping address to the UPS store but I want to change it back to my house. The date moved from 9/21 to 9/24. No biggie but smh
I wanted to do that as well but before confirming the change I saw a change of date to the 24th and cancel the change. I’m going to call UPS tomorrow morning and ask them about it.
Please keep me posted. The guy told me I could login and change it back but I don’t see the option he told me about. I’m calling back today as well. I can’t understand the 24th if the store is 15 minutes from my house.

I barely have the discipline to wait 2 years for an upgrade through AT&T. This year is my upgrade year and I preordered my Xs Max on 9/14th.

I woke up to a pleasant surprise when I checked the status of my order: Preparing to Ship!

I have not received a tracking email from Apple yet, but something is now showing in my ups app. It show it as being in China still.

This is Deja Vu every year. Everyone will freak out because their order is still showing processing, or hasn’t shipped yet but all will be good on Friday. Relax everyone, this is the same song and dance every year.

The headline should read, new phones shipped to shippers in preparations for Friday delivery.

Some may slip for a Thursday delivery by but that’s rare,

Not sure if it's my age or what; but I'm just not as enthusiastic about this update as I normally would be. I be grudgingly placed an order for a max version, but I did so only because my 7+ has become a bit sluggish with the evolution of system updates. Hopefully the increased screen size will make it easier to navigate with my klutzy fingers.
Until you and others stop buying Apple products, grudgingly or not, Apple products will continue to rise in price and fall in quality. They will only change if business significantly drops off. All the griping means nothing to the bean counters as long as the beans keep rolling in. Apple continues to thrive on the foundation built by SJ - how long that will continue depends on the customer base.

My iPhone X is higher quality than my iPhone 7 pro, which is higher quality than my original iPhone. My iPad Pro is higher quality than my iPad Air 2 which is higher quality than my original iPad.

Other than MBP, Apple quality is increasing.

Most technology improves over the years - that's nothing new. What is changing, especially with Apple, are the steeply inflated prices for what you get in return. This is true for both their phones and their laptops. I can get a fully spec'd iPhone 6S+ (I'm assuming you meant 7 plus and not 7 pro) for less than half the price of the fully spec'd XS Max, and whatever improvements the XS Max may have over the 6S+ does not justify its huge cost for me. One thing it doesn't have is a phone jack, which obviously means nothing to current iPhone buyers. It meant a lot to me and others I know who no longer buy iPhones. As you admit, the Apple laptop line has suffered a lot over the last few years - bad keyboards, port anemia, and cooling problems, along with inflated pricing. A top-of-the-line MBP now runs over $6000 with I9 chip, maxed out RAM (32 GB), and large (4 TB)SSD - and it still suffers from lack of ports and throttling, though perhaps the keyboard has been improved. Oh well, I have meandered off topic, which was when folks will get delivery on their new iPhones. Sorry about that.

Does anyone on here order through Verizon? I did but I didn't get up early to order, I ordered that Friday the 14th at 3pm. It said estimated to ship around Sept 21st. I still haven't been charged yet and I'm starting to worry I won't get it Friday.

I'm just wondering if anyone who ordered through Verizon on Friday if it said estimated to ship or did it say deliver by the 21st.

The reason I worry is I will be out of town next week. I'm starting to wonder if I should cancel my order and just try Friday going into Verizon to see if they have any 256 GB gold XS Max available!

I ordered my Apple Watch Space Gray Nike 44mm via Verizon with a delivery of 9/21. It now shows to ship by 9/21.

I've had better experiences with FedEx than with UPS, also FedEx shows up like at 10AM and UPS will show up at 3, so I also want my phone earlier haha
It's always the opposite for me. UPS shows up early, and FedEx is late afternoon/evening. I've hated them using FedEx after one year when they driver lied about attempting to deliver my phone (unless an attempt was made at the wrong address). I was home all day with the signature form taped my door and was sitting at my desk when I got a notice that they attempted to deliver my package saying I wasn't available. Incensed, I immediately called them, and of course the person on the phone didn't care and just kept repeating that she was sorry the driver couldn't make contact with me and delivery would be reattempted on Monday.

I got my tracking this morning!

I ordered mine through Verizon on Fri, 0420 EST and it also shows “Estimated to ship around Sep 21,2018”.

Apple started preparing the first iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders for shipment over the weekend, and now those orders have started shipping out to customers.

Apple has not yet updated order statuses from "Preparing to Ship" and likely will not do so until later this week when packages begin hitting their destination locations, but customers who pre-ordered a new device in the United States may be able to track their order using UPS tracking features.

iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders that are shipping via UPS in the United States are in transit and can be tracked using a UPS My Choice account or a reference number on the UPS website.

Customers with UPS My Choice accounts can visit the scheduled deliveries section of the website to see a list of Apple orders that are set to be delivered on Friday, which can be clicked to reveal full tracking details.

Tracking by reference requires a phone number and a zip code, or an order number minus the last two digits of the number. Many customers are already seeing their orders on the UPS website, but not every order has been transitioned to UPS as of yet.

Most orders right now are still in various parts of China, but should be departing for the United States and other countries in the near future.

Apple began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 on Friday, September 14 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time. By the time a half hour had passed, many iPhone XS Max models had sold out and were no longer available for launch day delivery.

iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 orders placed today will not ship out until October, but some models are still available for in-store pickup on September 21 in select stores. Retail stores are also expected to have supplies available for walk-in purchases on launch day.

Apple Stores, carrier locations like Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, and big box retailers like Best Buy and Target are likely to have the new products available for purchase on launch day in the United States.

Anyone else who ordered from T-mobile ? I haven't gotten any updates yet. It's still in processing status with shipping dates of the 21st. The anticipation is too real, and I hope I'll get it by launch day !!

Same here. I have checked "my t-mobile" more times this week than all times before combined. At least I can admit that it's unhealthy. That's the first step to recovery, right?

Ordered my Apple Watch Series for at 3:22 am Eastern on 9/14. Apple's website still shows "Preparing to Ship" but also has a delivery date of 9/21. Don't let me down Apple. On a side note, I plan to be at the Apple Store first thing this Friday morning in a effort to score a Series 4 for my wife. I hope they have stock.
