Five New MacBook Configurations for Tues, May 15th?

I ordered a Macbook last Wednesday. It's been delayed and according to Apple's shipping info ( & Fedex - Rush Service) it is scheduled to arrive this Wednesday from Beijeng, CN. It sat all weekend at the FedEx depot in Beijeng and was released today. If it is the Macbook I ordered I will be happy, if it has an upgrade I will be thrilled. By the way I have ordered several computers from Apple, this is the first being sent from Beijeng, CN

This sounds like great anecdotal evidence to me.
 
well dip me in honey and feed me to the lesbians! A 15" Santa Rosa Macbook would make my day :) :D
 
It makes no sense to announce any new computers at WWDC. Focus will be on Leopard.
If there is a new release tomorrow it would only be a speed bump to the existing laptop line up. Nothing new and amazing - no press conference is called. (I would like to be wrong, I have a new MacBook due Wednesday.).
5 new macBooks could be "good" level - one black and one white, "better" level - one black and one white and one "best" level in black.
Speed bumps to MacBook Pro would need to happen at the same time.

I hope the upgrades, whatever they'll be is just more than cosmetic.

I think that any redesign will have to wait until WWDC - maybe, a One Last Thing. There is no way that SJ and his giant ego ;-) will let a redesign go without him announcing it! Have there ever been any redesigns that have been announced outside of a Special event or Conference?
 
Here's hoping for a smaller form factor. My wife has a 12" that needs to be replaced (caught in a flood) but refuses to let go of it until something else that small is available.

That's what sends me through the roof when people say "Apple switched to the cheaper Intel processors"... Everything went up in price when we switched to Intel.
 
Those that are wishing for macbook pros....give up...this rumor is all about the macbook which makes sense because if they are to incorporate new santa rosa features they will do it in the pros
 
I just sold my powerbook and I'm so excited for this. I am not sleeping tonight!!!!!! I feel like such a huge dork right now. its great

The Santa Rosa isn't as cool as I'd believed. I had expected it to support DDR2-800 memory but it's still just DDR2-667 with an 800MHz FSB to talk to stuff like PCIe (which doesn't exist on laptops) and the ExpressCard slot. Since that's not on the iMacs I'm really not sure SR will bring any measurable benefit to the iMac which I've been waiting for. *sigh*

A 100% reliable source told me tonight that his apple store has a pallete of black boxes being watched by a camera with strict "9am" tomorrow morning opening instructions. He added that it could easily be uninteresting ipod accessories, and that he has NO idea what it is.

But SOMETHING is coming tomorrow at 9am, it may be very trivial, but its new and unknown.

Why would a camera be watching ipod accessories?

Haha, that's extremly funny I've been having the same kind of questions. All of my friends are graduating and they all want laptops and are asking me when to buy them and if new ones will be coming out. In fact, one peorson just got thres in the mail today becuase they wanted it so badly.
 
There won't be 5 different tech specs. Maybe 3 different techs specs + a few colors.
