I gave up. Tried it for 2 weeks and it's just not for me. I have big hands and can use the 6s 1 handed. The plus is an ergonomics mess to hold and use in 1 hand. It doesn't have enough real world benefits to make it worth it.

And yes you can use it in one hand if you slide it up and down the palm, balance it and use the pinky as a kick stand. No thanks.

Only use 1.65% capacity of one hand. No issue using one-handed.

Wow. This is very specific. You must have it down to a science.

That's interesting. That's one place I definitely use it one handed. Even if it's for going to a selection. Instead of peeking and popping I just pop into it.

Yup. I don't want to tempt fate by pressing down hard and causing the phone to slip left (I'm right-handed).

Love the whole peek/pop concept though. I'm thinking Samsung inspired the whole thing you can do now, where you can save a webpage to iBooks as a pdf.

I use both hands and one hand 50/50. I'm paranoid when I'm not sitting down. I would say I have long fingers that make it easy to do so though.

I went from a 5S to a 6S and was already struggling to use the 6S one handed (I use an Otterbox Symmetry case and have small hands). So I just decided to go all the way to the 6S+ and I can already tell I'll get used to it easily. I can quickly check notifications and lists one handed and anything else I do 2 handed, same as with my 6S.

You get used to it and it eventually becomes second nature. Going from a small phone to a big phone is bound to cause issues at first.

Its a very individual choice actually. Doesn't make any difference if you have big hands or small.. I have big hands and I manage to use the phone one handed (I am a big supporter and user of reachability feature). But had iPhone not introduced the reachability feature, I would have surely opted for the iPhone 6s as I can use it with a hand even without the feature..

But for people who have been always using 2 hands to operate their smartphones it doesn't make any difference if they own a 6s or 6s plus. In such a scenario, it all boils down to whether you are interested to have the extra battery, IOS in photos/videos and the extra screen real estate..

I've come to the realization that I am using it one-handed, 100% of the time, when my holding hand is resting on something. I'm more alright with doing that when my phone only has a few inches to fall, before it hits a surface, even though I have a great case.

Thank you for mentioning reachability. I completely forget these phones had that. Now I really don't even have to reach to the top half of the screen. Just made this one-handed experience so much easier o_O

It's funny, because my first encounter with a phone greater than 5 inches was when I actually started working in a cell phone store. It was the Galaxy Note 3. I thought it was too big, but once I started setting some of them up, I was amazed.

This is what made the 6s Plus a simple decision. Even if it had the exact same specs as the 6s.

After having the 6 and not being too impressed by the battery opted for the 6s plus this time. However, as much as I tried to get used to it, I just couldn't get used to it. Predominantly because one handed use is just not comfortable or safe (from drops).

I've constantly tried large phones from the S6 up to the oneplus and the Note5 but eventually get tired of shuffling the phone around. So, I'm firmly in the one-handed user camp and picked up a 6s and am way more happy now. Even the battery is fine with me having 40% left at the end of the day or it having a good 6-7 hours screen on time when heavy using it.

Nothing against the bigger phones but I'm really all about the ease of use. Never liked reachability or Android implementations of screen shrinking either.

iRing makes it easy to use the 6s plus almost one handed for me. I'm a woman and one handed operation is important to me. If I had had the iRing with the 6plus... I would have been thrilled but without it had an iPhone 6 all year long. I have bragged about the iRing so much I swear they should give me another one for free;).

As dumb as I thought it was, I bought the I ring. Took a little getting use to pulling it out of your pocket while putting your finger in the ring but works great. I have the 6splus with no case

I rarely if ever use my 6S Plus one handed. It's not that I can't but I've just become used to using my phones with both hands. In all fairness, I don't recall using my old iPhone 6 one handed too often either.

There was an adjustment period of a week going from iPhone 5s to 6s+...however, my hands are quite used to it now. One handed operation is also fine...mainly for texting. For reaching across screen thought...that is just not possible for me.

Just a FYI....I don't have large hands.

I use it one handed every single day and would heavily disagree. The screen real estate alone is enough to make it superior for me.

I hardly ever used any device one handed. Possibly because I came from a long line of BlackBerry devices where I always typed like on a laptop.
I'm used to the size also. No problems at all.
And no I couldn't imagine giving up the size for the sake of typing one hand. Which I hardly ever did anyway.

Its not been an issue for me... went from 5s to Galaxy s5 to 6s Plus. I use it one handed some times, and other times two handed. This was the same with prior devices. I can't tell you what percentage I do each, but its not a lot different from device to device. I am 6' 3" and have larger hands to that may has some effect.

lol the big white people complain about ergonomics. I'm short and have tiny hands but I use it one-handed all the time. Reachability and Swipe to go back are great features. Plus I change the setting of 3D touch to light sensitivity to make it easier to use.

The plus is too big to be a phone and too small to be a tablet.
Very uncomfortable to handle and carry so after a few weeks I gave up sold the plus and got the 6s!
