I'm still having an inner debate on this size thing. Last year I tried 6+ and exchanged it for a 6. This year I went 6S+. I think it's easy to feel like the grass is greener either way. I may even buy a 6S and use them interchangeably between now and January to see which one I miss the most while using the other.

I said it last year and It's still true for me this year. The 6S is a little too small, and the 6S+ is a little too big. We need a Plus with thinner bezels, or a 5.2" iPhone or something.

Either size is a compromise. I don't necessarily miss Android OS, but I do miss the massive set of choices you had at upgrade time. There's literally something for everyone, and the choices keep growing. I think Samsung has its sizes down very well. The S5 and S6 are pretty ideal "smaller" sized phones, and the bezels on the Note 4/5 make it a treat, especially with that 5.7" screen.

6s+ is the first iPhone I've had where I can get through a full day of heavy use without charging. That alone is worth the trade off in being a little too big to comfortable use one handed. The bigger and seemingly slightly sharper screen is nice too. Just miss the ability to easily reach all corners one handed without shifting the phone like I did on my 6.

For me, it's easy. I went from a Sony Z2 to an iPhone 4S, which always felt surprisingly difficult to operate single-handed. Then, I got the 6S Plus, and it's fine to use with one hand. I'm 5'9" and I doubt my hands are huge for my height. :p

After having my 6s+ for a few weeks, I'd prefer the Samsung 5.1 inch size better and hope Apple goes that route
They might resize the 4.7" to 5 or 5.1" and introduce a 4" as an additional option next year or in the 7s cycle. Only by then will the 5s hardware tilt towards becoming obsolete or noticeably slower compared to 7s chip

6s+ is not one-handed for anyone of any height unless you are one of the top 100 tallest people in the world. The 6s+ really replaces a tablet more than it does a phone. It fits only in purses and not in any man's pocket.

Go through various threads and you will your post to be so untrue.. There are many people including me who use the phone one handed 90% of the time and i don't think I fall in the top 100 tall people in this world

I'm 2 meters tall and I have fairly large hands, but it's still really impractical to use the 6S+ single handedly. That isn't to say it isn't doable: I just prefer to use it with two hands because it enables me to do more with the phone.

If someone is strictly interested to use a phone one handed at all given time including while watching videos in the landscape mode, it's possible only in a sub 4.5" phone (iPhones 4s and below).. None of the android devices too fit this bill

Fleksy has been very helpful for one handed typing.

This guy gets it.

The key is to stop trying to make it handle like the smaller iPhones. It will never handle that way. Can you do some things one handed? Yup. Will you get better at it? Yup. Will you ever master it like you did your iPhone 4, 5, or 6. Nope. It's just not happening, and that's ok. Can you one hand your iPad. Nope. You'd don't bother. It's not that kind of device. Can you one hand your iPad mini? Funny, because when I first got one, I figured, let me see what I can pull off. Laughable. It's not that kind of device. Neither is the Plus. It wants to be interacted with with two hands, and it's rewarding when you do. In contrast, it pays you with frustration when you try to make it act like your old, smaller iPhone.
I think of the smaller iPhones as phones that doubled as a media device. The Plus is a media device that doubles as a phone. Personally, I use the phone function of the 6S Plus about 5% of my total usage on the thing. A smart phone has always been a pocket computer and media device to me primarily. The Plus just makes all that experience so much better, and just happens to bring the best Smart Phone battery life around as a perk.

I've been really surprised at how much I can do with one hand with this phone. I had just assumed that it would be mostly impossible to do anything at all single-handedly before I got it. Not the case. And I have small hands.

I use the mini 4 one handed at times but it is abit of a strain. I can hold my 6S plus with one hand when walking but certain tasks it isn't easy. Guess the more you are used to it the more you can do it.

It is about the habit. It took me 2 years to like Mac OSX, although I still miss Windows.

I love the large screen, it is stunning. But I want to be able to answer the call or see a text when one hand holds pizza. The size of 6s Plus makes it almost impossible with one hand.

I just received a 6s with TSMC chip, which may helps me to make a decision easier.

Another woman here. 6s+ is fine for one handed use: reading, watching movies. Of course, I'll need two hands to type, but I always needed two hands to type on these (not a thumb typer.)

Using an iPad Mini 4 as an attempted iPhone replacement for a little over a month helped me get over my + phone is too big issues very quickly.

You may think that, but I seriously doubt the chip has anything to do with it, lol.

Seriously, unless you have Shaq hands it is a two handed device. Some things can be done one handed. Some.
I have big hands, also use a Note and I treat it as a two handed device.
AA lot less frustration that way and I don't have unrealistic expectations.

I only started truly loving the 6s Plus when I stopped expecting it to act like my 6.

When you stop leaving out your second hand out of stubbornness , that's when the AHA!moment happens.

If you absolutely NEED to only use a phone one handed, and everyone has their reasons, then you shouldn't even be considering anything bigger than the 6s.

I only need two hands if I have my Tech21 Evo Wallet case on as its bulky.

With the thin Spigen Liquid Crystal I use one handed, no probs.
Just need to double tap home for the higher interactions.

Thumbs up for the Spigen Liquid Crystal.
This case makes a world of difference for me in terms of grip and one-handed-warrior mode.

I found it awkward at first, but after I put a case (Totallee Scarf), it feels a lot better in my hand (a bit heavy, but I'm sure that'll get better).

I can still do most things with one hand, so I'm happy with that.
