The login/not remembering problem should be fixed. Let me know if it keeps happening. Note, it may happen once more, since we've changed some of the cookie settings. Beyond that it should work ok.

That's nice and all, but I used to be able just to just click on it and it would bring up a list of the names I had previously typed in. Now I click, and nothing happens until I start typing. I can use Always Remember Password in FireFox, but that doesn't play nice with my bank's site. Any way to fix that and still keep it like a spotlight search?Blue Velvet said:I've discovered something else that's pretty nice. Do an 'Advanced Search' on a poster's name...![]()

IJ Reilly said:I'm not sure I understand your answer. I know I can fix the links manually, but I'm wondering why this doesn't work automatically, the way it did before.
I think the old way was easier, it doesn't really matter, but if I had a choice I would pick the way it was before.dubbz said:Ah. That's just how it work in the new vB version. It's not a bug or anything. Personally, I prefer the new way better.

IJ Reilly said:Maybe I'm missing something, but as nearly as I can tell, the new way doesn't work at all. The link text has to be edited manually within the tag. Not sure how anyone could call that an improvement.![]()
Sorry, I should be more clear.IJ Reilly said:Maybe I'm missing something, but as nearly as I can tell, the new way doesn't work at all. The link text has to be edited manually within the tag. Not sure how anyone could call that an improvement.![]()
Seems a shame that the latest release of Safari has this issues when IE has handle it better since before Safari's release.EricNau said:Sorry, I should be more clear.
With the old way, first it would as you what text you wanted to appear, and next it would as for the url.
With the new way, if just asks you the url, and creates the tag so that url will show in the text. It is possible to alter that manually, a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

IJ Reilly said:I guess I can live with it too -- got no choice. But as ~Shard~ said, it wasn't broken so it didn't need to be fixed. Ah well, at least I know I'm not doing something wrong.
~Shard~ said:Yeah, exactly, we're not doing anything wrong. It's a little more time consuming, but I'm sure everyone will get used to it....
