Nice! I love the Netflix Watch Instantly service on my TiVo, only problem is the selection is really crappy, mostly older B and C movies like bad Kevin Costner films and not many tv series. A few good ones though like the original Star Trek and MST3K.

I'm surprised no one has made mentioned of the ABC app! Getting to watch lost, V, flashforward, ugly Betty, the middle, modern family, and cougartown as much as I want for free? Wow i'm suprised this was approved by apple. I see it affecting their store sales soon!

Its too bad that Netflix has so little content you actually WANT to watch streamed. Isn't it about time they got their act together.

That's the only issue I have with it. I expect newer movies not being on it, but any movie over a few years old should be on there, period. For example, I wanted to watch "Pirates of Silicon Valley" awhile back. Why would that not be on there?

Ok. This is totally awesome. This also means that if I actually want to have an iPad for my own use, I will need to buy one for my wife also. Otherwise I would never see mine.

Seasons 1-5 of LOST? that's pretty decent TV! and the movies are alot better than hulu of course. The older the movie, the better chance of it being on netflix. But not many stellar recent movies, but a few from a couple tears ago.

I'm calling false, since nowhere in Netflix's site does it mention an iPad app.

I went to their blog, their apps page, media links and nada.

I searched in iTunes and found nothing as well.

because the iPad store hasn't launched yet. It's real.

I am calling this one real.

The movie being shown is "2 days in Paris" which IS a netflix streamed movie.

Not to mention, silverlight scroll selector is at the bottom, in the picture it is at the top and the spot shown in the picture follows the movie exactly and is the correct spot.

Now, not saying they could not have used itunes to mock up the photo but I highly doubt someone actually has this crappy movie on their hard drive?

Im thinking this is real. But I could be wrong and I a fool. Time will tell.

So the pic may be from Apple's servers, but there's no indication that that screenshot is from a Netflix app. It could just as easily be a shot of an iTunes video playing.

As much as I'd like for this to be true, I too am calling April Fools.

Ok, how about this one? http://a1.phobos.apple.com/us/r30/Purple/ab/a4/03/mzl.qqfvbwoa.480x480-75.jpg

Or this one?

What more proof do you need?

Does anybody know if Netflix is planning subtitle support anytime? I hate the fact all the streaming sites do not have subtitles/CC support (well except for Hulu and ABC, but they don't have it for everything).

Does HTML5 even support CC/subtitle overlay? I know Flash does, but everytime i switch over to html5, it doesn't work.

Sighs, I wish the congress can mandate CC/subtitle for online videos, would make life easy for me.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, meanwhile, says that mobile devices aren't a priority for his company yet. They're fighting the good fight of the large screen, and once they feel comfortable in their various efforts there, then they'll move on to small screens. Netflix hasn't done or submitted an iPhone application, but Hastings did mention that he was optimistic that if Netflix did get into the game, the app would be approved for the App Store, and that it would run on both the iPhone and iPad.

I would love for this to be true. But i just don't think it is. This picture could be from any media app on the iPad there is no proof that it is from a Netflix App. Also this screenshot from appshopper has a link in it that says "play on computer". Would the link not say "Play on iPad" or maybe even just "Play" if this was an iPad App?
