Free Netflix iPad App Offers Streaming Video

What screenshots? Every screenshot I've seen so far is stored on Macrumors or Appshopper. I'm pretty sure this is an April Fools joke!!
 
For those with issues about the availability of Play Now stuff, it has gotten better recently.

It's not going to work over 3G. Not enough bandwidth and their poll last month to users even stated as such.
 
Wow, if this is a joke they've done very well! It's hitting major news sources, it's on macsable and gizmodo.

Looking at the screnshots though it looks fake.
 
like i said , cleary a joke...u start the rumor mill and it will eventually hit all news (gizmodo , etc) but like i stated , just because its on apple servers doesnt mean its really happening...infact i will prove this..im gonna make a mock hulu app for the iPad and upload screenshots into apple servers using my dev account and link it back here...and it will definitely be plausible because as cualexander there strongly believes, its legit...brb
 
Oh please god let this be real. :cool:

And I hope it uses the previously mentioned video output APIs.

Because netbooks don't have 10 inch IPS displays with 11.5 hours of battery life, 1.5 lb weight and a touch UI

I look forward to this and hope it can't be done that easily.

Also, even if you can fake it, it doesn't prove its not real, it only proves that it CAN be faked, not that is actually WAS faked.

I'm waiting for this. Lol. I think you and I, and a handful of others, know this is likely an April Fool's joke. But like one other poster said, it's a testament to the potential for an official app to make it's way to the iPad.

then he uploads the screenshots but not the binary..
now the screen shots are on apples "servers"...
he gets the links to the shots and post them..
no u have a netflix app with "legit" pics from their "servers"
and no press from netflix...really...something this big...a more portable and profitable solution for netflix and ur not publishing a release?

I just recently put my account on hold. Come this Sat I'm going to have to re-activate it again.
 
I know it's been posted as a link, but, for those who forgot, this was the Netflix CEO in January:

"It's not a huge priority for us because we're so focused on the larger screens," Hastings said. "Until we get our TV ubiquity and our Blu-ray ubiquity and we're getting close on video game ubiquity, then we would next turn to the small screen. So it's something we will get around to, but it's not in the near term."

This just doesn't make sense. I'm holding on for Netflix confirmation, now.

correct, it can be faked but it is possible for such an app...just dont think this is the one

This would be awesome, but why are the links on the images:

as in April 1st?? PLEASE don't be a joke!
