Fake

You cant even stream Netflix to your Mac, why all of a sudden the iPad?

Obviously you must be on a Power PC Mac then, I'm assuming. Get with the times. Intel Macs have no problem viewing streaming Netflix content. Hell, I'm watching a movie on it right now. A little research (like this thing called Google or checking on the Netflix site) goes a loooong way.

My reaction is very similar to the crazy guy in the Office Max commercial... "WOW! Now that's badass!" Since it's free, clearly it's a low price too :p

Now that we have Netflix, ABC has created an app, I can visit CBS and NBC and stream directly from their site... yes flash is becoming more and more a non issue. The review last nite on Twit showed the iPad loading up NYT page where the flash used to be, they simply have an alternative graphic in where flash was.

Never doubted content providers will change and find a delivery method that allows iPad users to view their content. They need us to visit their sites just as much as the user wants to see it. They clearly don't care "how" the content gets to us, they work to fill our needs, flash is no longer a need. Things are looking very, very good for the iPad's launch! Can't wait to see what the next 6 months bring.

I think most sites (with the exception of advertising) were planning an eventual move from flash anyway. The iPad just sped that up a few years.

It would be nice to have a wi-fi only version for iPhone and iPod Touch if bandwidth was a concern.

In my wildest, wildest dreams I could run this mythical app while having my iPod Touch in the accessory dock for my Panasonic TV so I could display it on my TV while keeping the device powered.

"Powerful you have become, the dark side I sense in you."

Come back from the dark side, *LTD*!! :apple:

It's his form of April Fools joke; all of his replies are reversed (anti-Apple and pro-<everything else>). His location also changed from Canada to Redmond, WA.

LOL at you people getting riled up by *LTD*'s posts. The dude is the biggest Apple cheerleader on this site. Don't you think there's something odd about him championing a Windows netbook on this particular day?

did anyone try Starz Play instead of unlimited plan?

"While access to instantly watch choices from the Starz Play service is included with all Unlimited plans, we do have a plan that limits what is available to watch to Starz Play service choices only. While this plan does not have any DVDs, it does offer unlimited streaming of these choices for $7.99 a month. This plan does not have a free trial."

That is not worth it at all. The normal unlimited plan is $8.99 and you get unlimited DVDS and there are tons of TV programs instantly that you would be missing out on.

This Netflix app has certainly made me want an iPad but I will still be waiting at least a year for them to upgrade the device with more features.

The Netflix website has a 'Coming Soon' banner promoting streaming coming to the Wii. Yet nothing about an app coming to the hottest gadget out there right now in a mere 2 days. Seals it for me.

Yes, someone put in some extra effort, by submitting it to the app store, to make it look real. I'm betting we'll hear from Netflix later today letting us know it is fake.

If its in the app store, doesn't it mean Apple approved it, and I know they wouldn't approve a netflix app unless it was officially submitted by netflix.

Also, here's a list of 1350 ipad apps that are supposed to be in the app store on April 3rd:

I looked through and netflix is there. So I'm leaning towards it being a real app. I don't know exactly how appadvice gets its info, but if it has access to a genuine listing of approved apps, it seems the netflix app is real.

I've not seen anything saying it is in the app store. All having image links means is a developer submitted an app with images and linked to those images. I believe the ABC app is also a fake.
