They will replace the screen if possible. They will also check for water damage. If there's any water damage they will charge you $299 for a refurb. At least this is what was explained to me.
In this case I'd rather take an option of mail exchange. They don't want to swap in the store, they spend on shippment. I don't want to waste my time, that's why I bought apple care. Will try store next week, no hour wait repair for me. Or they can pay me my hour overtime rate rate :)))) I can also wait if they bring back home offshore money and pay taxes. :) Expecting a conversation with a store manager already :)))

I told them I am not waiting an hour for Apples fault on a defect. Manager gave me a refurb phone. Will see if the camera does it again down the line.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the build quality of this iPhone 6. Front camera moving, the screen clicks in the lower right corner too.

I would then suggest to let them know you cannot wait an hour for a repair and to see what they can do. Most likely if you tell them that you do not have the time to wait, they will replace your phone immediately. Fortunately I had the time to wait but I understand for other people it's not always as simple as waiting. I am lucky to live close to an Apple Store.

I haven't experienced the screen clicks in the lower right but I am also disappointed in the front camera moving as I pass my devices down. I don't want them to have a faulty phone.

True. At least it doesn't affect the camera though, or at least not with any of the posters that I've seen on here.

This is how it should be. Apple cannot ask you to wait or "dance" around. They position themself so pro-busness. "wait" = Samsung for me. Never have been waiting and will never wait. Wait = change for me. Congrads woth you new phone.

Stopped into the Apple Store tonight and made a Genius appointment. Unfortunately I was unable to get my phone repaired tonight as it takes approximately an hour and I got there before close.

The process was explained to me as follows:

They have to replace the entire screen, then they run it through some diagnostics to verify everything is ok with the phone. Apparently if the water sensors indicate water damage I will have to pay $299 for a replacement. Hopefully the water sensors are still good as I rarely use the front facing camera and would hate to pay $299 for something that has nothing to do with why I brought my phone in.

and what the water has to do with the moving camera?? so they actually said that you have to pay for the camera fix if the water sensor is wet?

I agree. This is just what I was told. Had they tried to charge me I would've asked to speak to a manager.

I have the same problem with a moved camera. I scheduled an appointment at the Genuis Bar. Does anyone think the employee will replace it?
Why not?! They should. Tell them you want an exchange. Do not accept to wait 1 hour of you valuable time. Ask for the supervisor, just be polite. This is ok.

I can do that?
"Can we do it?!" "Yes we can!!!" (Bob the builder :)) Be polite, tell them what you want. And usually they don't argue. I always polite with people and get what I want: car below truecar.com.... Why not? You should get you level of utility from the product.

Follow your own course, and let people talk – paraphrased from Dante by Karl Marx Capital if I'm not mistaken here.

Good luck

Yeah, your time is much more valuable than anyone else's, and the man is just trying to screw with you and put you in your place with this so-called "1-hour wait" anyway. Screw everyone else in the que. If they didn't make a big enough fuss, it's their own dam fault.

SMH

Really don't get what your saying. I made a Genuis appointment, so it will be whatever it is when I talk to the person.

Also, I thought the one hour wait was regarding the time for a screen replacement, not waiting in line for because I didn't pre schedule an appointment time ahead of time...

I noticed mine all of the sudden shifted to the left as well.

I'd like to get it fixed but I am jailbroken and I assume the diagnostics test can/will detect the jailbreak. i'd rather keep my jailbreak then fix the front camera which I hardly use. Even though its shifted it doesn't appear to have affected its function rather just an annoying cosmetic issue.

Exactly why I was hesitating to go get my screen replaced . I just did a quick restore took it in and got it replaced. Apple is still signing 8.4 so I was able to downgrade and jb again. Now I have a brand new screen that increased the value of my device for sell for my 6S lol. My old screen had a bunch of scratches too

You're good. It's all good. I'll comment on what happens at my Genuis Bar appointment.
Good luck! Hopefully you won't have to wait for the replacement screen. Let us know if you're able to just exchange it for a new phone rather than waiting as I'm curious. I didn't think of attempting this and just let them proceed with replacing the screen.

I was looking at my iPhone 6 today and I realised that the front facing camera had moved to the left. I never saw or heard something like that. It's so strange because I never dropped my phone so far.

Even if the camera has moved, it did not affect the pictures I take. In other words, Ito can still take good front facing photos.

Should I take the phone to the Apple Store?? Would they exchange it for another one? Is it worth it?

I took my phone to the apple store to complain about the phone ear speaker volume is too low. They took it to the back and told me the front camera is dislocated (which i didn't even realize) which can cause the issue so they replaced the whole front panel under warranty.

A mi también me ha pasado. Creo que todos los que llevamos el teléfono en el bolsillo le ha o les va a pasar. Yo lo que he realizado es voltear el teléfono a ver si así con el tiempo regresa a su lugar de origen. XD

Okay. I returned from the Genuis Bar today and it turns out that my 6 was bent. That was interesting to hear. The employee gave me a referbished iPhone 6. Works brand new and camera looks properly placed.

I just stumbled onto this thread and noticed that my front camera on my iPhone 6 has shifted ever so slightly to the left. There is a gray-ish crescent shape on the right side of my camera. Anyone who's gone to a Genius Bar with this issue - Should I expect them to replace the phone?

Every picture I see has the camera shifted to the left. Mine is shifted to the right toward the ear piece.

I've got an appt tomorrow at noon.
